Springbok's 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle Central Park Paradise - Made in USA

We only buy Springbok after being disappointed with other brands. This one was more challenging than expected which is part of the fun actually. All pieces were present. Took two of us about 4 hours to complete.

Puzzles are of very good quality. Allow hours of easy concentration for nursing home residents.

In the past two months I have made "4" Springbok jigsaw puzzles. (Covid has kept me home.) Each puzzel had 500 pieces. Springbok puzzles are by far the best puzzles I have ever made. Each piece is unique to the others pieces. The puzzles are challenging but not so much that you would want to quit. Every piece fit perfectly with the others. I have never enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzels more than those made by Springbok. Although I will say this, do not get the puzzles with the wood backing. One of the 4 that I made had the wood backings. The puzzel just did not hold up. In several cases I had to glue the wood back onto the picture. Then when I was done with the puzzel I could not get the puzzel apart without breaking the wood backings. In the end I tossed the puzzel rather than give it to some else to enjoy. I do admit though that making the puzzel was fun. I have found the regular puzzels without the wood backing are much better. Richard

For me, a good jigsaw puzzle must include ALL of the following: 1) A beautifully realistic picture to be put back together. 2) Sturdy, clickable pieces that interlock well with one another. 3) No missing pieces 4) A detailed preview picture of the puzzle to verify that it’s being put together correctly, to determine which colors go where, etc. This means that the puzzle box with the jigsaw picture (unless the puzzle comes with an inside-box photo) must be as sturdy as the pieces. 6) Isn’t TOO complicated - doesn’t take TOO long to put together. 5) No dust particles - this is a big one for me, since dust takes the quality of the entire puzzle down in my opinion. I’ll start with the good: not a piece was missing - in fact, I had an extra piece! The picture is beautiful and the pieces are sturdy and strong with a click technology that makes the puzzle enjoyable to put together. It’s smooth to the touch, almost comfortable, to connect the pieces. It took only 11 days to put together and I only worked on it every couple of days or so for about a hour or so on the days I worked on it. The puzzle pieces are as unique as I’ve ever seen and I like uniqueness. These points are why I gave this puzzle 4/5 stars. That’s the good. I did Springbok puzzles back around 2012 - 2018 or so, I think, and I cannot remember any complaints. That’s why I bought so many Springboks back then. So when I started puzzling again I went back to my old fav company. I expect some dust in a jigsaw since the puzzle has to be cut up. But there was so much wood or paper dust particles that I had to vacuum the table that I opened the pkg on and the carpet around it. I placed the puzzle on a mat to store it while I completed it and never got rid of the dust fully. The box - which is where I get to compare what I’m doing to see if the puzzle is being put together correctly - was thin and torn! I had to tape it up to use it. It was, of course, never a clear picture. If this were my first Springbok I’d never purchase this brand of puzzle again. But this seems to be an exception to the rule when I think back to past purchases. I’m ordering another Springbok and if that one is different, if it’s as good as the ones of old, then I’ll note that in an update of this review. There are flukes in almost everything. Hopefully this purchase was only an exception to the rule. But if the next one I order is the same quality then I’ll note that here as well and will look for better puzzles. 1/31/24 2/3/24 - just completed new Springbok Paris Romance. That puzzle was like night and day compared to this one! NO sawdust. Perfect box. I wonder if this puzzle was from a third party seller who remakes Springbok puzzles. I’m addicted to Spring ok again. This mess of a puzzle was just a fluke.

Great quality, nice sturdy pieces, interesting puzzle shapes and very vivid design. I very much enjoyed putting this together.

Fun and pretty easy

Always love these puzzles because they aren't all the same pieces. It is a challenge sometimes to find the right side to use but always get there eventually.

Although the picture was striking, and looked nice when completed, putting it together was not enjoyable as I would have liked. The pieces were a little bit clucky, felt like old wavy cardboard. Plus, they didn't snap into place the way I preferred a higher quality puzzle. A slight forceful pressure was required to press the pieces into place, and because they were made of a weaker fiberboard, the unlocked pieces curled upward off the tables surface, somewhat annoying me. I continually pushed them down against the work surface to watch them pop back up. When completely put together, it didn't lie flat either. The puzzle was lumpy with wavy edges. I snapped a photo of my work and packed it up. This will be donated to the local library, and I most likely won't purchase this name brand again.

Good quality and random cut pieces make it interesting to complete

I’ve bought a couple of puzzles now featuring various views of Central Park in New York, and they always look great, especially when autumn colours emerge. This one has a good balance of trees, colours, and skyscrapers, so really looking forward to getting stuck into it...SOON!!?. Puzzle arrived well-packed, all intact, and speedy delivery thanks to Amazon ‘Express’.....Cheers, Chris M.

I buy alot of puzzles and the springbok is the worst . The pieces don't fit easily into each other. The quality is very poor little pieces of cardboard sticking to some of the pieces. Not a company I would buy from again.

I found this product to be nowhere close to a Springbok quality. The box was make shift, a sticker of the puzzle was glued onto the top of a cardboard box. This was supposed to be a Christmas present but looks so cheap for the $30 I spent. So disappointed.
