Awesome a/c
Really love this unit. It heats and cools our small space here in Florida and keeps the electric bill down too. The app controls it when away or at home although quirky. The remote control is great. It was fairly easy to install and doesn't take up much space. Lots of YouTube videos show you how to do it. You have an inside, small hang on the wall unit, and a small outside unit. Very quiet. We don't even know if it's running or not until we walk up to it and feel if air is blowing or not. Really can't hear it run. No problems with it and I would buy it again.

Works Great
This item is NOT the Do-It-Yourself Model. Even though the guts are identical to the DIY, it takes more thought and effort to install. You need some special tools, like a vacuum pump, a good flare tool, tubing benders, and some beforehand practice with the flare tool to do it. If you take motors apart, build machinery from scratch, or are a plain dedicated do-yourselfer, you can do it. If you're not willing to invest the time studying up on it and practicing with the flare tool, you'd better forget it. Go with one of the DIY models. Mine works great. I have an 18,000 BTU model installed in a 700-square foot (insulated) garage. The temperature drop across it is about 38 degrees (if room air is 80F, output air will be about 42F). It has no problem at all cooling the place down quickly. It appears to be very smart, only putting out the temperature needed to maintain the setting. It may start out at 42, but after 20 minutes it might be doing 58. The fan is nearly silent.

Not a DIY unit, but if you're handy, YouTube will make it happen and you'll love it!
First and foremost, this is not a do-it-yourself unit, unless you have HVAC equipment and watch plenty of YouTube videos. I thought it was the DIY unit when I purchased it so I had to learn how to install it. I am using it in my garage in the Chicago area and this 1.5 ton is a great performer. No need to run consistently but when heating or cooling is required it gets the job done. In the heating mode the outside unit is a little noisy but I hope to eliminate that when I insulate and drywall the garage, but the inside unit is super quiet. The wifi works as advertised and operates from my smart phone from anywhere. The wireless remote does not communicate over or with the wifi and takes a few extra button pushes to get it to respond. I purchased aftermarket air filtering sheets and I was shocked at how fast they got dirty. Worth the few extra pennys in my opinion. Overall, I absolutely love it.

Not happy at all
I bought this unit for my garage because it said you can install it yourself that's B.S after getting started on the install t I found out that the lines are NOT sealed and you have to vacuum down after you install them so that mean now you have to have a AC tech come out paid him a couple hundred dollars to even get this online. All of the ads say you can install it yourself and that you don't need a AC tech because the lines are sealed and the unit comes per charged. Also the instructions suck bad you are left to guess or try and look it up or you have to call it's ridiculous I would never recommend this unit to anyone. Now that I have bought I'll make it work because sending it back would a nightmare I sure as far as I'm concerned this product ads are very miss leading.

Terrific A/C
The outside unit was easy to install on the outdoor wall brackets. The indoor unit a trained installer. What should have been easy was a real pain, because we had to have the pipes and wires exit the box on the right hand side as you face the unit. The system is set up hot the wiring and cables to exit straight out through the , or exit on the left. What should have been an hour job took four hours. That said, the unit works perfectly. Great cooling, super quiet. No electric bill yet, but this unit sure earned its keep over the series of 90 plus days. Handled the humidity perfectly!

Great unit / app less than perfect.
We have an addition on our house that gets ridiculously hot in the summer, which is unfortunate seeing as it's the main gathering area for our family. It is roughly 400sqft and when it is 95⁰ outside it is usually about 86⁰ inside. I purchased an 18k unit to cool this room and assist with the central air in the rest of the house and boy has it delivered. I recieved my shipment at about 3pm on Thursday and by about 6:30pm or 7pm I was able to have it completely installed (minus the electrical). I got the electrical hooked up the next afternoon and the room was already around 78⁰ degrees and climbing. I flipped the breaker and the indoor unit light up. I followed the instructions regarding the initial run protocol, after that I cranked it down as low as she'd go. It took roughly 30-40 minutes to cool the room down to 68 degrees. I purposely oversized this unit to assist with my undersized central air unit and have found it to work as advertised. I find the remote to be very user friendly and straight forward. The app on the other hand seems to be a little less refined. It often times doesn't show what temperature the unit is set at and doesn't sync with the remotes, so if you change a setting on the app the next time you touch the remote it will jump to whatever settings you've selected on the remote. Also from what I can see the unit does not display the current room temperature anywhere. This isn't a huge deal for me but there have been times so far that I have it set to 73⁰ and it feels much, much cooler. Maybe this is due to the fact I'm used to 88⁰ temperatures. Overall I'm extremely happy and satisfied with this purchase and am probably going to save up so we can install a multi zone unit in the rest of our house.

A Great solution
My first time installing a mini split, I wouldn't say it's exactly easy, but completely doable for someone who is handy. Keep in mind that you'll need a few things to complete the install if you're going to DIY (besides the wire and circut breaker to wire 220v to the unit) I called a local HVAC guy for this step, and he quoted me $400, and since I intend to install a few more of these units I decided to save some cash and get the equipment, I'm glad I did, it was the easiest part of the install: - A vacuum pump - https://amzn.to/34PlTsa $65.99 - A vacuum pump adapter - https://amzn.to/2OOXeOX $9.40 All in all though it's quieter than my whole house unit, Comes with a remote control, an app for my iPhone, and a skill for Alexa.

Item delivered as promised
The mini split is working very nicely. Had to get a A/C installed by professional. To have the line from outside to inside vacuum, to make sure no air in the hoses. But it saved me from having to install myself I’m an electrician but didn’t want to chance damage to the hoses.
