Perfect, just what I needed to divert the air throughout a big living area.

I bought 2 of these for my condo. My condo is a midrise built in the 1970's so the size vent (12x10) was a bit hard to find. These vents are great, good color, good screws. Overall I'm very happy with them. Note: Do NOT over-tighten the screws. They're faily long so there isn't a need, if you tighten too much then it will be hard to open/close the vent.

I had older vents and didn't know if this newer ones would fit, but it was perfect, even the placement of the screws were the same, no need to redrill. I ordered one just to be safe, but now I'm going to order more.

UPDATE - 06/15/2026 - had to get a new one - the paint was coming off (salt air) - and the exposed metal was rusting. When it arrived - it's not packed in a box - it's wrapped in a flimsy cardboard wrapper - and the moving parts were bent up. I was able to bend them back in shape. BUT - the company should look at better packaging. I've been looking for an air vent cover for awhile and thought I couldn't find the right fit. I was trying to find the correct size for the cover. As I was doing some research I realized it's not the size of the cover that I needed - it's the size of the vent opening that's important. Once I got the size of the vent opening it was easy to find the correct cover. This cover fit perfectly! And was very easy to install in a minute.

This purchase from HVAC Premium was completed quickly and with no problems at all. The 10”x 6” ceiling register arrived when it was promised. I was especially pleased with how well it was packaged for shipping. I didn’t test to verify my thoughts but I do feel like the manner in which it was packaged would have survived being run over by a small automobile. Maybe a few bends that weren’t part of the intended design but nothing so serious that a common BFH style hammer couldn’t be used to gently restore it to the nicely designed original shape. The registers adjustable flow control louvers are made from metal (no plastic that becomes brittle after a few years of heat/cool cycling) and have a range of fully closed (flat louvers) to fully open with the louvers in a vertical position as seen when installed on the ceiling. This sturdy metal louvre is nicely powder coated a bright white color. The electrostatic coating process helps to insure that all parts of the louver receive the same amount and thickness of the coating media. This is important if you live in a region (Georgia) where high or moderate humidity is experienced during 3 of the 4 seasons. My old metallic register was rusting so after 37 years of service through all kinds of weather, including one FREAK OF A BLIZZARD THAT EVEN THE LOCAL WEATHER GUESSERS CHOKED ON STARTING 03/13/1993 and devastated central Georgia northward, including Atlanta which gets shut down in only a half inch of snow due to a certain measure of inexperienced drivers and “the gentle people” that got their inner child bruised and paralyzed by fear at the sight of 24” of building materials required by snowman, snow woman and their entire brood of snoglets. The perfect storm for observing people that are clueless, even on a beautiful spring day. Knowing my purchase is fulfilled by Amazon is what gives me the confidence to purchase from unfamiliar sellers , with NO WORRIES, MAN....or Ms. And the beat goes on.....

Fit perfectly. Replaced the 34 year old vent that had some rust on it.

Perfect fit where the original 1942 vent was. Nice white paint color, well made, not cheaply made and at a reasonable price. Easy to open and close to control air flow.

Exact same size as the one I replaced. Their measurements was as posted. It took two tries to get it from Amazon because the first one got crushed. They just put in in a plastic bag with no padding.

I live in an old apartment where the vents only had manual adjustment and were rusting. This really brightens and cleans up the room, and it's so much nicer to have the slider. I was worried that the 16" x 4" size would be too large, but the inside was exactly the same as the previous, about 1/2 an inch narrower /smaller in each dimension, so that if you have sealing material, it will fit perfectly.

I got what was expected. Excellent.
