5-Tier Steel Wire Shelving with Wheels, 30" W x 14" D x 60" H, Plated Steel

First, I paid for this item - no one gave it to me in return for my review. : ) After seeing the cost of these types of shelves (on sale!) at the Container Store, I was happy to find this online. It's not as heavyweight but it's half the price. As steel shelving systems go, this one falls into the medium strength category. But I don't want it any heavy since I'm using it as a pantry. Boxes of pasta and canned goods just don't weigh that much no matter how I pack it. I was extremely pleased to find a unit this size. It fits precisely in a rather odd corner of my rather odd kitchen. It was well packages and each item well protected inside the box. The unit arrived with all the expected number of pieces plus a spare for the plastic sleeves - good planning - those little pieces are easy to lose. They are not so easy to break but still it is possible. The assembly instructions were an odd mixture of excellent detail and then mysterious figures which you have to puzzle out. Not hard, just dissonant. One of the poles was mismatched but someone observant had included an adapter and after a mystified minute, I managed to figure out that's what it was for. No, harm. Works justs as well as all the poles. Nice, very good quality control there. It is surprisingly light given the strength rating. What a relief. It was a snap to assemble. It's also clear you can disassemble it for transport. You'll need a rubber mallet or something to unstick the shelves. But it should survive many moves. It is dirt easy to line up the shelves and adjust the height of each one. Each pole is clearly scored with rings approximately 1 inch apart. Count off the rings, snap on a plastic sleeve and lower a shelf until it settles onto the sleeves. Wedge it down firmly (I sat down on the lower ones : ) The ability to set the shelf levels at different heights is fantastic. It makes it so much more efficient. Since items run on the small size in home use - another shelf and having the poles rise higher by another 12" would have been feasible. I should mention you get your choice of either feet or casters. I choose the feet. The leveling feature is very very nice & easy to use. My laminate floor is too uneven to risk casters. I'm not sure I could stop a loaded runaway storage unit like this. If you don't already own some, buy few of the accessories, like the S hooks. You can hang off the wire shelf or use the "decorative" triangles on the edges of the shelf. They are wonderful. As soon as I collect some more of those nylon bags, I'm going to hang a few bags of onions and potatoes. BTW, you can hang bananas off the S hook. Forget those fancy banana hooks at those high end places. That solves the problem of the wire exerting pressure on delicate items. Should help prevent mold too. I'm not planning on doing too much of this. It blocks access and distributes weight oddly. I did not buy the shelf liners. My idea of misery is taking everything off so I can dust the liner. Wire shelves don't get too dusty and wipe off easily. How does it look? The selves look elegant. Since I don't have my stuff neatly packed in jars and boxes, it's messy. I suppose if I did, and lined everything up, it would look like a grocery store. I'm not anywhere near the weight limit for each shelf. Even cast iron pots don't add up that fast. Haven't felt the shelves strain once. It holds a lot of stuff. The 14" depth reallys makes a difference. By comparison, books shelves are usually 11". 14" is enough to fit boxes of file folders. Now if you filled this with boxes of files... I'd start to worry about weight limits and the thing tipping over.

This is an excellent medium sized wire rack style shelf for use in a garage type setting. I received two of these units used for a slight discount, and I have to say, I can't tell the difference between the used and brand new units I also have. I feel fortunate to save some money buying the used items from Amazon. Pros: - Very fast to assemble once you've done it one time. My two units were unpacked and assembled in less than 30 minutes. - Optional wheels and/or fixed peg for heavier stationary loading. I used the fixed peg feet because I want to load these with heavy items. - Very nice chrome like finish. No visible flaws. Wire shelving is constructed of high strength, tough steel. - Design is super solid and holds a lot of weight, particularly if you use the peg feet, and load heavier items on the lower shelves. - These shelves are 14" wide and fit along the sides of my garage under the garage door rails. They do not get in the way of my parking area. Cons: - None. I've totally satisfied with these wire rack shelving units. For about $50 per unit, and with the rolling wheel option, these can't be beat. The obvious quality suggests these will last practically forever. Overall, I'm 100% satisfied with this product. Fast assembly, great high quality finish, strong and stable design, and with five shelves, it provides a lot of storage space for organizing clutter in a small footprint. I just love this product and can strongly recommend it.

This shelf is a dream unit for women DIY beginners! Seeing as I just finished putting this together, this review is more so my beginning impression of this unit. ASSEMBLY: This was, by far, the easiest thing I've ever put together. The unit basically comes in 4 parts: the poles, caps, shelves, & feet/wheels (depending on which you pick). The parts came together so easily without any fuss or TOOLS. Most importantly, the directions were very clear and minimalistic (meaning nothing unnecessary,). They come on sheet of paper, front & back. They were written in laymens terms for the average person instead of the average contractor! I've included a picture of the front side. Amazon offers the ability to have a professional put this together for you (for an additional charge), but trust me when I say you don't need it. STABILITY: I believe this unit to be very stable & durable. As I was placing the first (bottom) shelf on the poles, the heaviness of the shelves really surprised me! A part of me was expecting the shelves be flimsy & wirey like some bathroom shelving units, but I'm pleased to say that wasn't the case! They are very solid & unmovable! The Poles that hold the shelves also appear to be very sturdy. Each pole is made up of only two pieces, that screw into each other. This is a huge pro, especially in comparison to some shelves where you have to use a screw driver/drill to drive in screws & washers. Another thing that contributes to the excellent stability of this unit, is the leveling feet! If you are planning to use this store some heavy duty stuff, like I am, I would highly recommend using the leveling feet vs. Wheels. I initially purchased this with hopes of using the wheels, but the ones included wouldn't stay screwed in properly so I HAD to use the feet, and I'm glad I did! If, by the time you're finished assembling the unit, and you noticed that a leg isnt touching the floor or causing it to wobble (which was the case for me because i placed it on a bit of a slope in my garage), then you can simple unscrew that foot a until it touches the ground with the rest! In addition, the unit can hold a little over 1000lbs on the feet vs. 165lbs on the wheels! OVERALL: Yes, I would highly recommend this unit... Matter of fact, I'm purchasing another one! If anything changes, I will definitely update this review!

Really sturdy, simple assembly and stable on the wheels. Moves easily and the finish, although not grade A is perfectly acceptable and durable.

Excelente producto para almacenar cualquier tipo de cosas, en cualquier espacio, tengo uno en la cocina y otro en la bodega. Muy práctico, súper fácil de armar, las alturas de los estantes se acomodan a cualquier altura deseada lo que lo hace muy versátil, las ruedas lo hacen ideal para la limpieza de las superficies y la reubicación del estante.El material parece muy resistente, tengo poco tiempo de haberlos instalados, pero se ven muy sólidos, por lo que espero que tengan un largo tiempo de vida útil.

Come da titolo è un ottimo prodotto facile da montare bello esteticamentelo consiglio. Unica pecca è che non riesco a trovare come è dove acquistare altri tubolari montanti per mettere i ripiani avanzati.

Ich habe zwei von diesen Regalen gekauft, weil die Maße einfach perfekt waren für Körbe, die ich bisher einfach so gestapelt hatte, aber das war nervig, dann aus den unteren etwas herauszuholen. Ich habe kürzlich ein ähnliches Regal einer anderen Marke gekauft, dieses hier ist deutlich stabiler (und das andere ist auch schon stabil). Eines der beiden hat leicht verzogene Längsstangen. Es liegt nicht an der Last, denn ich habe diese dann umgeräumt in das andere, war immer noch so, sh. Fotos. Ich habe das Problem optisch gelöst, indem ich das Regal einfach umdrehte, nun sieht es gerade aus (ist es zwar nicht, ist mir aber egal). Die Höhenabstände für die Regale habe ich einfach gemessen, indem ich eine der Boxen reinstellte, die dann reingehören. Man muß hier bedenken, daß dieser Rand nach unten zeigt! Andersrum geht er nicht hinein, man sieht das schon mit bloßem Auge, daß die Rohre leicht konisch zulaufen, es paßt nur, wenn der Rand nach unten zeigt. Dann allerdings paßt es problemlos und kann von Hand festgedrückt werden (und rastet dann so ein). Bei dem gerade stehenden Regal war das letzte Einlage"brett" verzogen. Ich habe es umgedreht, dann war es besser, aber nicht perfekt. Nehme ich auch so hin, es steht und sieht passabel aus und vor allem erfüllt seinen Zweck. In beiden Paketen waren fünf der Plastikteile als Ersatz enthalten. Sollte man aufheben, falls mal eines kaputtgehen würde. Eines davon war bei mir kaputt, so daß ich es jetzt aber immerhin immer noch 9 solche Ersatzplastikteile habe. Das Regal war leicht aufzubauen, ich habe es allein aufbauen können. Ich habe erst einen Boden befestigt, und dann erst die nächste Stange festgeschraubt. Sie werden geschraubt und halten echt gut. Beide Regale stehen einigermaßen stabil, aber ich werde sie an der Wand befestigen, so ganz ohne Bewegung stehen sie nämlich nicht. Sie sind nicht besonders schwer, aber schwerer als das ähnliche Regal einer anderen Marke, das ich kürzlich erwarb. Ich glaube, daß sie ziemlich belastbar sind, allerdings habe ich jetzt keine großen Gewichte drin, aber mir kommt es so vor, als könne man sie durchaus auch recht schwer beladen. Optisch gefallen sie mir sehr gut, weil sie "leicht" wirken, also nicht wie ein richtiges massives Möbelstück optisch viel Raum einnehmen.
