Great if you want your stuff to smell like bleach
My daughter has allergies and asthma. Bought this spray to help neutralize allergens. When you smell the liquid in the bottle there is no scent. When you spray it on something, there is initially no scent. Come back in ten minutes though and take a whiff - you will smell a "mild" but very obvious chlorine scent. Yuck. This might not be so bad if one of my daughter's worse asthma triggers wasn't bleach. So, this spray may help neutralize allergens but it might be doing more harm than good for my daughter's asthma! Luckily I tried it first in our bedroom before applying it in my daughter's room or to the sofa and other furniture. I couldn't imagine sitting on the couch and occasionally have the scent of bleach waft over you. At least I was able to turn our mattress over after I had applied it so my wife and I wouldn't have to smell bleach every time we tried to sleep. If I had applied this to my daughter's mattress I'd probably be on the phone with Allersearch demanding they cover the cost of a new mattress. This could all be avoided if Allersearch listed the specific active ingredients on the bottle. Having done a bit of internet sleuthing it turns out the active ingredient is Chlorine dioxide - essentially bleach. Sure it's a very diluted form but it definitely leaves that distinctive chlorine smell. Wish I would have done this research before wasting my money. Allersearch should be more careful in marketing this as many people that have allergies also suffer from asthma and one of the most common asthma triggers is bleach. I will be writing them a letter with my concerns.

I hate giving bad reviews
I hate giving bad reviews, but I am one of those people that are allergic to everything environmental and food and life - anyway, I was very excited to try this product for my bedroom because I love my apartment, but the only carpeting is of course in the bedroom and it smells musty with a terrible stench. I'm doubting the property manager is going to update it for me, so I bought this spray as I have been having chronic sinus infections since I moved there and I feel fine except after I've slept all night in that one room :( Got the spray yesterday and first things first, I smelled the product and it didn't have any funky scents or chemical smells at all, I really couldn't smell anything which was a huge plus. Then I lightly sprayed my walls then wiped them down good. I didn't even have to spray the walls directly/entirely after noticing that just using the paper towel that was moistened by wiping the walls down was also leaving the spray residue where applied. It dried instantly and seemed fine so I proceeded to lightly spray the carpet. About ten minutes after applying, lightly, to my carpet, I went to check on the room and it smelled like ammonia. Heavily. After the carpets dried, I put arm and hammer baking soda down and left it for a few hours. Vacuumed then wiped my walls down with another cleaner, but the ammonia smells prevails over all. This has destroyed my bedroom, honestly. I would take musty stench over ammonia any day and I'm worried I will become even more ill. So I think it's important for highly sensitive types like myself to be aware this can happen.

Chest Pain and Difficulty Breathing
I’m not one to ever write reviews but I feel compelled after my experience in the ER. I purchased this product to help my dog with potential dust mites and other carpet allergens which seems to work well for her. As for me, after just a few hours, I experienced chronic chest pain and difficulty breathing. The first ER visit they ruled out most of everything. I returned home and my symptoms returned worse. The second ER visit with further testing determined it was an allergic reaction to this anti allergen spray which says on the front label, “Safe for Pets and People”. That claim didn’t hold up for me as I am still recovering. I’m sure this is a rare reaction as I didn’t read anything like this in the reviews figuring that my lungs might have an extreme sensitivity. However, after my experience I think it’s only right to give a fair warning and suggestion. Don’t do what I did and spray your whole place. Do what is recommend and test a small spot first with a mask on. Maybe leave for a day or two. Ventilate the rooms adequately. Lastly, do not take chest pain lightly.

Finally relief
I bought this size for the refillable bottle but the sprayer broke after two uses. Frustrating. The product seems to work. I vacuum, spray wait until it’s dry and vacuum up even more stuff. I haven’t needed an allergy pill yet and my dog’s itching has greatly decreased. He hasn’t had any allergy medicine for two days and normally he gets Benadryl twice a day.

It works
The stuff works. My husband has mild cat allergies but we have 3, so he would feel the effects despite allergy pills. I didn’t tell him I was using this product and he was great for a few days and I randomly stopped it to see what would happen. He became congested and had itchy eyes again. I spray it every 3 days on the couch, rugs/carpet, pet areas and our bedroom. I use approximately half a bottle (full bottle a week) so I just buy the big jug. I use the laundry detergent they have with my other laundry detergent and that seems to help too, especially with the blankets and pillows. The scent isn’t anything crazy bothersome to me. The only thing that I dislike (like other reviews) is the sprayer, it just doesn’t seat the best on the bottle so I tighten it often while using. It doesn’t stop me from continuing to buy it and is a small con for the benefits.

It CAN stain....
I sprayed on my carpets and some large items. You can't really say if things like this "work" or not but my allergist recommended this one. Just because I don't see a dramatic diff in my allergies doesn't mean it does not work, I may just be reacting to something else. However, the room does seem less stuffy when I walk in, almost seems to "clean" the air....but that could be in my head. Or it could be because the room was scrubbed from top to bottom and is practically sterile now. Anyway, it ***CAN STAIN***. I sprayed on my bedding and then tossed the comforter in the dryer....spots where the mist was heavier (droplets). The color is creamy yellow the stains are brown. Teh comforter is machine washable so not sensetive to water. I've tried everything to get the stains out and also it smells funny where the stains are...almost like the heavier concentration reacted with the heat in the dryer or something because it smells odd...hard to say what but you can only smell if you put your nose to it but it only smells where the stains are. I washed twice and used a number of stain remover options but still stained... My carpets are very very light and nothing happened to them so I am at a loss. I called hte mfg who said it doenst' stain but clearly it does have the ability to stain. She said maybe it reacted with something that was on the comforter but anything that is on the comforter could be on the carpet or anything else which means it can stain but I am wondering if it reacted with the heat somehow because it was only where the heavier droplets landed. It was very odd. I will still use it on the carpets and dark colored items but I will just be sure the mist is FINE and won't expose to heat like on a hot day or in a dryer right away. *****UPDATE 11/2011*** I still use this on my carpet but just bought a allergen wash for my bedding. The stains are still there but I was able to scrub enough to make them barely visable and also flipped the comforter so the stains are tucked under footboard. Anyway, I found that I do sleep better when I use this combined with the allergen detergent for my bedding. I also spray this spray in my home office where I work +40 hrs a week and found I can work much longer before I get stuffy. I bought a gallon of this stuff and use it now once a month on my carpets in my bedroom and den/office but I haven't been brave enough yet to use on the common areas of the house which have the same white colored carpet but more expenseive carpet. It hasn't stained anything other than my comforter but it does seem to work on my allergies.

The sprayer is terrible
I have bought this allergen spray at least five times and at least 4 times the nozzle stops spraying. At home I can switch the sprayer out, but on vacation, I depend on the sprayer to work, with no option to change it. This is a pricey item that I'm willing to spend money on, because it's effective....until I can't use it because it won't spray. I let it go several times but I'm on vacation and can't use it at all in my pet friendly rental, so it's useless to me. At this price, for it not to work (again!) is very frustrating. The bottle is new and full but I can’t use it. Beware when buying.

Great addition for anyone with allergies
This Allersearch ADMS Anti-Allergen Spray works very well. It’s easy to use and gives peace of mind knowing it helps neutralize allergens like dust mites and pet dander. I’ve used it on mattresses, pillows, and upholstered furniture, and it dries quickly without leaving any strong odor or residue. A great addition for anyone with allergies or sensitivities effective and simple to use. The only thing I don't like about that its a little bit pricey.

Missing Spray Nozzle
The picture Included a spray nozzle but no sprayer was delivered just a bottle. I'm going to have to buy a separate spray bottle as i'm unable to find a sprayer that fits with a tube this long.
