South Shore Axess 3-Shelf Bookcase, Blueberry

The color is awesome. Fits my decor perfectly. Inexpensive but very well built. Easy to assemble.

I bought three of the three shelf bookshelves in the blueberry finish to hold my ever expanding book collection. Delivery was very quick and the packing was very secure. I ordered them on a Thursday and they were delivered in about two days on Saturday with the free shipping. Two of the bookshelves went together easily without any issues. I hit a snag with the third one when I realized that several holes were not drilled in the right-hand side panel to accept the narrow support rails for the top and bottom. I was still able to put it together but those rails are not held securely. I like the shelves but I will note that I'm not sure how sturdy they'll be in the long run. The pegs that hold up the individual shelves are made of plastic and some of them don't fit snuggly into the holes. They should have been made out of metal. Overall I like them and they seem to be worth the money spent but they have their issues.

This is a useable, nice bookshelf. The size is good, color is accurate, and it’s super easy to put together. Although, you do need a drill and a hammer. However, the back is cardboard and it’s folded in the box. When it’s nailed on, there is a slight accordion look when the light hits it (see photo). This would be perfect and have a five star rating if the back was more solid. I would pay more for a solid back because the color and size is dead on.

I wanted to up grade my office. I was very disappointed in these bookcases. They are very flimsy and of low quality. For the price I expected more.

We have the same dresser and chest from this set and they are both are good quality. So I bought this thinking it would be a nice addition to our son’s room. We were wrong. However, it’s assembled and we are not going to take it apart to return it. This is NOT SAFE for kids! There is nothing that holds the shelves in place they slide out so easily. They only are supported by cheap plastic clips. There are lots of holes for different height options, but they are very visible and there’s alot of them even with the shelves in place. I took a touch up marker (not included) from his dressers and filled them in so it didn’t look so cheap. We used something to secure the shelves so they won’t fall off on top of our son. So if you want to spend money on a bookcase that you need to modify before using go ahead. My opinion… DON’T BUY THIS!!

I love the colour and the product is holding what i need it to. It was a little trick to put some pieces on because the holes did not line up exactly. There was also scratch marks on the shelves, they came that way. I put them in with the scratched side face down. Both sides of the shelves are treated and coloured which I like a lot. The overall piece feels a little wobblier than I expected. *Note that I did not attach it to the wall, which may help. Though, once it was full of my books it was a lot steadier. Make sure that you have hammer and a screw driver on hand, as tools are not provided.
