Are they too stiff for a first-timer to knee wraps? I have a 500lb squat and want to try them to boost that number.

I remember starting out, and if these were available then, I certainly would have purchased them. My suggestion would be to begin wrapping loose, then tighten up as you acclimate. They are stiff, but quickly break in. These don't "bite" as hard as iron wraps z, and are a happy medium between z and the true blacks, meaning they tighten up very well, but are still much more comfortable in the hole than most other wraps. I admit I have a great pain tolerance, so take this with a grain of salt. Take your time with these, learn them, and I believe you will blow past that 500 mark very quickly. Hope this helps.
