Stabilize your water with this product!
If you are having a plan to properly setup a new big size aquarium or even water change, this is a good recommendation. Our pH was more than 8 when tested with pH aquarium test kit. Would recommend to follow the instructions correctly, particularly not to use too much within a day to stress the fishes. Water clarity is pretty good.Fishes were able to adapt this change & I see them performing healthier. Overall good product for money & easy to use.

PH Down for high PH Tap water and fish
Most fish don't do well with super high ph water like we have here in Eastern Washington. I put a capful in every bucket when I refill the water to keep the PH down at a more neutral level for my tropical fish. Works well.

Be Careful
Boy I was hung by my neck on my forum for using this product in a tank where there are fish in it already. Nobody died, nobody even looked uncomfortable. My issue is that the cap is not conducive to measuring. I ended up using a measuring pipette and even then overshot my mark one time (the other two times I hit a Ph of 7.0 very easily). Admittedly, large pH changes should never be made to fish - so spread it out over a few days if you have too. I mixed mine in about a quart of tank water so it was very diluted - but even a single ml or two can drop the pH pretty dramatically so only use this if you have to. Our city water has a pH over 10 so what am I supposed to do after a large water change? Now if you have issues with water hardness or other chemicals don't be surprised to have the pH climb right back up - you may have to soften the water first to get rid of excess H ions - unless you're like me - where some of your fish prefer hard water then you are in a bind. Never in a million years will you have community tank that satisfies everybody's requirements - just do the best you can. And JUST USE A TINY BIT AT A TIME of VERY DILUTED pH down - it is VERY strong stuff to be messing withl Quarter capful AT MOST then measure that day and the next day before you add more. It's not one of the more exciting jobs but it is actually more technical than most people realize. ,

did not do a lot for my tank
it could just be my tank i have hard water so could affect thatfish were fine at leastfor me did not seem to lower ph reallyso cant say its bad as could be user errorwill try in some water without a filter and see for a test XD so I would say test it in water outside your tank like same type of water just to see if you should bother or not and if it dose lower it like you want then go for it
