This is a great value flash that's a fraction of the price of Western rivals. The benefit of the round head is that the light falls in a more equally distributed circular pattern. However, the trade-off is that it doesn't offer the same range as the similarly priced V350II Speedlite.The benefits over the speedlite are that the circular head acts as a magnetic attachment, meaning you can quickly snap on and off the bundled range of diffusers and other accessories. The downside is that there isn't a built-in reflector. (Considerations if you are using it on-camera on the move outside).The flash can act as a trigger for Godox's other lights, but to use it alone I'd recommend pairing it with one of the firm's Pro triggers (get the Pro versions to benefit from TTL). Also you'll get the most out of the light if matched with a softbox, for which you'll need the S2 Speedlite bracket.The in-built modelling light provides a low-power continuous light in between shots. I've read some complaints that it doesn't accurately show where the flash will fall, but I've found it v useful for aiding camera focus in low light. The head can be twisted around and bent fully in one direction and part of the way in another, which is handy when trying to angle the bounce for best effect.Other things to note: the detachable li-ion battery seems to last ages, providing hundreds of photos on a single charge and retaining its power for months at a time if unused. Other users have complained of the hot shoe mount being fragile compared to much more costly models, so you need to treat it with care (or buy parts online) but it is at least metal, unlike some of Godox's triggers. And at time of writing, Sonyalpharumours is claiming a 'pro' version will shortly be announced, so you might want to see what added features that includes.NB both the flash and attachments come in decent quality cases (the accessories cleverly pack down into a compact space). And there seems to be significant variety in price for this kit from different sellers, so it's best to do a thorough search on Amazon before making your purchase.
