Great shoe. I have three different colors, and they never disappoint me. Great quality, and quite durable. The soles give out long before the leather does.

I am extremely disappointed with Sperry's lack of customer service and their complete failure to support a product with an obvious manufacturing defect.Over the past 12-14 years, I have purchased this same boat shoe six times.(See photo) I replaced them periodically due to normal wear and tear, never a defect, as they were frequently exposed to water—which is expected for a boat shoe. I was a loyal customer.However, a pair purchased on September 14th developed a major defect after being worn only five or six times. The upper portion still looks brand new, however the sole of the right shoe is separating along the stitch line.When I contacted Sperry, I was informed that they would only honor the warranty if the shoes were purchased DIRECTLY from them. Since I purchased them via Amazon, they deferred responsibility to Amazon's return policy. Unfortunately, I am a few weeks past Amazon's 30-day return window.It is unacceptable that Sperry refuses to stand behind their product due to a technicality regarding the point of purchase, especially when the issue is clearly a manufacturing defect and not related to the retailer.While I may have lost the cost of this single pair of shoes, Sperry has lost a long-time customer and several hundred dollars in future business. As the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" Sperry will not get a chance to fool me a second time.

I bought these for my son, who loves them. It took a day or so to "break in," and he says they are very comfortable. The fit is just as expected, true to size. He wears them all day long at school, with no complaints. He's only had them a few months, so I cannot speak to how well they will hold up, but I am optimistic given the other reviews. If the shoes do hold up well, and he doesn't grow out of them, I do expect them to last for some time due to the cost.

Super comfortable and well-made

These were my first pair of Sperry Topsiders and I am pleased. Not as heavy leather as my usual brand but very light, soft and comfortable like slippers right out of the box. I always steered away from the brand due to the white sole. I just discovered the large variety of styles and colors and opted for Topsiders in black with a black sole. For me they were true to my size 11. Perfect on my left foot and a little tight on my right foot which is a little larger. I have no doubt that right shoe will break in with a little wear due to the softness of the leather. I also liked the black leather laces which are heavier than I expected. They should last a long time. Finally, the Amazon price was excellent.

These shoes are really good. Very comfortable, good width, not tight. Wide opening, very easy to put on. Nice soft leather. Got them on sale, superb bargain. Just what I was looking for. Very happy.
