Talk Italian Grammar Paperback – 15 Aug 2014

I'm italian amd I was looking for an italian grammar book to help my english girlfriend to learn my language. I spoke with some friends that teach in Italy and togheter we found this book: it is quite good, as it gives you the basis and some very good explenations and examples, and I think it is very well written. In case you want to learn italian it could be a very good support for your studies. Only down side it came with neat cut on the last 2 - 3 pages, as it was a present and I was in shortage of time I couldn't replaced, but it doesn't look very professional to dispach a broken item. Apart from that great book.

This is an adjunct to my night classes learning the language so it's very useful. If this was my only source of learning, I think it would be hard going. I also use a free language app which offers practise of the language.

I'm a first year university student picking up Italian as an extra language from beginners level, and this book has been absolutely brilliant in explaining grammar rules and pronunciation, allowing me to grasp and certify what I have learnt in lectures. All aspects of the book are explained extremely clearly and I would happily recommend this book to anyone.

This small book is really well laid out, clear and concise. If I could memorise everything in this book, I'd be well on my to mastering the language to a good level. Small enough to fit in a largish pocket, I find that I often take it with me on trips because it i so easy to carry around.You will need additional books for your studies (dictionary/ verb tables etc although it does have details of 50 irregular verbs) but all in all and for the money a great product.

A great support to the 'Talk Italian' books authored by Alwena Lamping, and, indeed, for learning Italian generally. Would highly recommend.

This book is, for its price, simply the best concise Italian grammar I have come across. It contains, in dense form, almost all the grammatical information you will ever need, and at the end conveniently lists the conjugations of common verbs in an easy-to-read format. The index makes it easy to track down the relevant page(s) regarding a subject one occasionally wishes to clarify, something I have found useful even after some years of study. I recommend this grammar to be used alongside any course book on Italian.

As previously stated this is part of a set of 3 - I would definitely recommend.
