Good fit
Okay, so some reviews are not helpful as far as sizing. Here is my review and I hope it helps. I got a small, which fit my 4 year old that weighs 58 lbs and is 44" tall. He is in clothes 7/8 for t shirts and pants/shorts. He wears boxer briefs that are medium (8) in boys. These fit right one, true to size, if I went with medium it would have fit too and with the belt on it would be good, however it would have been longer but it has elastic at the bottom so it would be no big deal, as it can be tucked into the socks. The waist is at an 8, no bigger, no room for what a size 8 is in boys in most clothes. So he will use these once this season and then outgrow them which is fine. The material is thin, but I like it because it will be cool since it is black. This is for tee ball so no sliding and I do not know how they will hold up as far as sliding if I buy these again for baseball when he is older. I like the thicker waistband and the belt loops too. I bought two, and might return one and exchange it for a medium to try them out since I do have Prime. Take advantage of it Prime users, return things, you print a label if it does not meet expectations, Amazon is great with customer service. Anyways, I hope this helps.

Run small and they are thin
I would agree with the reviewers who have said they are thin and they run small. My son had Youth Small Champro pants that we managed to get two seasons out of (8 and 9 years old). Went up a size to Youth Medium on these and they were basically the same size as those old pants. So we had to return those and order the Youth Large. My kid is 10 and on the smaller side. Also, the Champro pants were definitely thicker. I don't mind the thin. Our league stretches into July and it gets really hot and humid. So as long as they don't tear halfway through the year on a slide, I am fine with thinner. We will see.

Bigish in my opinion
I purchased these pants to be shorter than another pair that he has. I wish I would have gotten a smaller size.My little guy is short and small for his age- he just turned six and he wears a 5t size pants- and these baseball pants are very big on him. His little calves don't hold the pants up to make them "capri" style (I know, I know- that is not the correct term for baseball pants), which is the reason I purchased them (for hot summer games). Not only are they too long and too big at the ankle- he is also wishing for an athletic style belt to hold them up. I wish I would have gotten the smaller size (I would have returned them, but dad opened them off of the counter and let our little guy wear them already). It's no biggie- but if you are looking for "pro-style" (better than "capri"?) get a size smaller or get different pants.Otherwise they are good pants- nothing special. A bit thin material-wise, but once again, we got these for playing in the heat of summer and they will allow some air flow to his legs.I would buy them again- just smaller. :)

Meh, but maybe not meh....
Too big for my kid, and yes they're thin. Sending them back but I can't really say they're bad. These are thin, as people have said, which was the first thing I noticed pulling it out of the package, but after a minute it didn't seem SO bad. I actually wonder if the drapiness adds to the impression - there's no stiffness to the fabric. This thickness might be a good thing in really hot weather. Trying to think how to compare it... No women's blouse would ever be this thick. Maybe a thick pair of winter tights (but definitely polyester). The thing about them running big..... This pair actually exactly matches the size chart that's included on this Amazon page. They're still pretty big feeling, though, and maybe that's the rise...Can't put my finger on it.Anyway - the measurements:Youth LargeWaist: 26" unstretched, with just a little bit of give. There's a drawstring.Inseam: 18.5"Hem: elastic, but not cinched/gathered much - not blousy.Rise (crotch to waist): 12"

Play ball!
Durability is very good, my son is 8 and has multiple games through the season and have held up well. The stretch is good as he moves a lot and doesn’t complain. The only thing missing is a middle back loop so the belt doesn’t lap or go up a bit as hes playing.

Good pants for my son.
Needed a new pair of pants for fall ball and struggled to locate a pair locally. We went for the Easton pants on Amazon and are very happy with the price for what we got. My son immediately said “comfy” when he put them on. The fit isn’t quite as nice as his other gray ones but these were substantially cheaper. I recommend this purchase.

MCHammer Pants
My son's team wanted their kids in gray pants and the stores around me quickly sold out so I ordered these. They actually fit my son really well. He is 90 pounds and about 4'9" or so and wears a size 12 husky jean. The waist fits perfectly but the crotch and thigh area is very loose!! Every time I see him on the field I just cant quit singing "Can't Touch this" because they look like MCHammer's pants. I admit that is a bit of an exaggeration because they aren't that floppy but they are not fitted in that area at all. The elastic on the legs is great and keep the pants around his calves really well. These pants have also made it through baseball season really well. The grass stains come out very easily with some shout and there are no holes or anything in them and we only have a couple more games to go!

Good pair of baseball pants
Overall a good, basic pair of knicker baseball pants. My son commented that the material is a little scratchy but he's one of those kids that struggles with fabric textures. And for the price, they're a decent pair of baseball pants.
