This is a very good quality loupe. 15x is just right for examining and tuning fountain pen nibs, and doubtless many other such tasks. Recommended.

Great Quality

I am a geologist & compare this to a premium Anchor Optical Company 10X Hastings Triplet some 50 yrs old, and still working. Both all metal construction. The Anchor is 10X, lens 15mm diamter, weight 17 g. This Danoplus is 15X, lens diameter 20.5 mm, weight 37 g. The Anchor is sharp edge to edge. The Danopolis is not. But its sharp center area is about the same size as the Anchor. Neither has chromatic aberation. A premium 10X Hastings Triplet costs about $45. This heavier, higher power lens will perform equally for about $14. I would expect the 10X version would under-perform a 10X premium lens. Buy the 15X for equivalent performance. This will stay on my desk and the old Anchor will be in my backpack.

Great loupe

This loop will not work well for precision work such as jewelry, coins or stamps. Not surprisingly, a loop in this price range does not have very good optics. Its OK for a back up, or one to leave in the car. But do not buy this as your primary loop.

Excellent price and product. Worked perfect for what I needed - to see lettering/details/inscriptions on jewelry.

The lens is very good. The casing is metal and is very strong yet not heavy. There is also an included lanyard with a detachable head, making it very convenient to use in the field. The semi hard case is also nice for storage.

Using these properly is easy to figure out and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I use it to read watch battery part numbers and other small details. The lens does get dusty rather easily, but it's easy to clean with a microfiber cloth or even a fresh tissue.

Je ne recommande pas cette loupe pour l'analyse des roches sédimentaires. La zone d'agrandissement est TRÈS petite. La loupe présente beaucoup de distorsion dans l'image et n'est pas très nette. Le matériel est bon, elle est livrée avec un étui, un chiffon et un support pour le cou, mais elle ne vaut pas son prix.
