Reflective Pinwheels, High-Efficiency Reflective Material, Keep Birds Away from Garden - 10 Pack (Pinwheel)

I was having a problem with birds sitting on top of the poles and pooping on the plants. I put up three pinwheels two days ago and have not seen a bird perching since. I attached the pinwheels with zip ties (not included) and pointed them toward the prevailing wind. So far, so good.Update: I've had the pinwheels up for 2 weeks. They are holding up well, but it takes a decent breeze to keep them spinning. Now that the birds are used to them, some birds will land when they are not spinning. I'm getting some birds - about 25% of what I used to see. Overall, the pinwheels are doing a good job.

I placed these around the perimeter of sunflowers I have planted in the middle of my yard.They're in a good spot to catch the cross wind however they barely move! When they do move only one or two may move even though they all get the same wind. They are made with the mounting holes only partially punched, not all the way through so you have to remove the tabs which were sometimes difficult because you have to pull out the center without damaging the wheel, I suppose that's why they bind up and do not spin easily.I wouldn't recommend buying this particular pin wheel, not sure if the same problem occurs with other brands.

Got these for our garden to keep birds away. Upon arrival you have to assemble to pinwheels, which is easy enough. They are very reflective and the design gives a movement feel with the light. Which is good since they dont seem to spin very well. We get those kansas, wizard of oz winds and they still only spin sometimes. Ive tried many things to try and make a smoother spin but have had no luck. They are still repelling the birds because of the light change giving false movement factor i believe, but they just dont spin as expected.

Easy to put together. I attached to my fence posts with zip ties in the hope of keeping the deer out. They spin fairly well if facing into the wind, (so arrange in different directions). The deer probably admired as they jumped my fence on the way to the bird feeder, so much for them being deterred.

These are cute decorations and work well to keep animals away from flower pots/beds.

Colorful and easy to put together.

They don’t spin at all and are A LOT smaller than the pictures make them out to be. Also not made of good materials. I would not buy again, as they plain and simple don’t work for the intended use.
