AA Battery Storage Caddy by Storacell, Military Green, Holds 12 Batteries (Not included)

In December of 2012 I was still on the prowl for battery storage -- especially portable battery storage for backpacking etc. . . . when I found and bought these items (see the link):B007OSD9UOThree of these battery storage cases locked together holds 12 AA or 15 AAA batteries and weighs in at 1.1 ounce without batteries. They are more secure and lock together. I bought them in clear, blue, pink and green for color coding. They are fine for home storage and short trips however not the complete answer for my needs and wants.Googling, Youtubing and plethora searches later I uncovered a diamond "Storacell by Powerpax". I received my second purchase today (01.01.2014) of the Storacell by Powerpax AA battery caddy which holds twelve (12) batteries. The Storacell by Powerpax is compact, lightweight at 1.3 ounces (without batteries inserted), durable, attractive, easy to use and color code, and secure. Storacell is actually smaller requiring less storage space compared to the provided link. Storacell is likely as minimum as one can get for secure battery storage.I bought 1 Black Slim Line AAA Holds 6, 2 Orange, 1 Green AA holds 12 each, and 1 Orange which holds 1 9V, 8 AA, 4 AAA. I would really like to acquire an AAA that holds 12 like its big brother for AAs which they must not fabricate as I've been unable to locate one.Storacell by Powerpax caddies do NOT have sharp edges, they will not catch or pluck anything when retrieving from a pocket, backpack, or luggage etc. . . . . Because batteries can be inserted in either direction you can elect a system that works for you. It allows you to carry active and expired batteries in same caddy. Example: All batteries active positive end inserted first, when spent negative end can be inserted first so you realize it needs tossing or recharging depending on whether you use Alkaline or rechargeables.I personally use eneloop rechargeables which are amazing batteries. Being somewhat anal retentive, OCD I use a Brother P-Touch labeling my batteries with information like: date of purchase, initial charge, mAh. I was a little concerned prior to purchase Storacell by Powerpax caddies may cause label removal. I have NOT experienced an issue because of my labeling. The eneloop batteries slide in/out normally. Each person will buy based on his/her own preference, buy in quantity for their battery stock normally kept on hand. The seller doesn't get to ship items out for free, the difference must be made up elsewhere -- generally hidden in the price.I highly recommend Storacell by Powerpax Battery Caddies. The "Storacell 12AAMG by Powerpax AA Battery Caddy" has been great. We have purchased several of them to hold rechargeable batteries and it has been extremely useful for organizing and transporting batteries. We use rechargeable batteries for external camera flashes and other electronics so this caddy makes traveling with them very convenient. When the battery is fully charged, we orient them in the caddy with positive terminals facing the same direction; after we use a battery and it is depleted, we flip it around and store it in the caddy the opposite direction of the charged batteries. This lets us know at a glance which batteries are still good and which need charged. No matter which direction the batteries are oriented, they snap into place very securely yet it is not difficult to slide them out. Great little storage device.

I needed this caddy since I have just been storing all my 18650, 14500, AA, & AAA rechargeables loosely in a drawer. Since I have more AA and 14500 sizes, I thought I'd try this size out first. I'm very pleased with this caddy. AA & 14500 batteries fit and snap into place very satisfyingly. They are held firmly so they don't wiggle, but it takes almost no effort to remove them with pressure on the right spot. Even with a firm but flexible fit, the caddy doesn't harm the outer label/cover of my batteries. I was hoping the bottom of each slot was solid, but it is open slightly with a small hole. Despite the open battery slot ends, I feel much better about preventing short-circuits now. The caddy stands up very stable on the flat bottom of my drawer, (even with quick drawer movements), so the batteries have no chance of contacting anything else in the drawer now. The caddy has a good feel to it with no burs or roughness. It's hefty, not flimsy like a lot of plastic products. It will not break if dropped from standing height. I'd definitely recommend this caddy and I can't wait to try the 18650 size.

The batteries don't fall out even if you want to, I think it's a great idea, the material looks solid, I think it will last a long time

This 12-pack AA battery organizer by StoraCell is the best method I have found for safely and securely storing my AA batteries. The batteries just slide right in and stay there until you need them. There's even an notched end for the positive side of the battery so you know what direction to insert the battery. I love these things!

Bought my first ones many many years ago. Needed to tidy up the rest of my cells, so came back for more. Same great quality, should last a lifetime.

I don't know about at your house, but men at my house rip into everything, including the packaging that should hold your batteries for the short time they stay in the drawer at my house. Doesn't happen!This has stopped that odd rolling sound when I open the drawer, i can find the batteries quickly and I hear less of "Mom are we out of batteries?" So nice! oh So nice.

Will buy more very awesome for transporting and storage.
