Fabulous little knife
Where has this knife been all of my life? It makes peeling curved or intricate surfaces so much easier. It’s so sharp too.

Great Purchase
I watched a lot of reviews about this style knife and this one rated very high…. I decided to go with a different brand that was significantly higher in price…long story short I returned the expensive knife because the tip curled after only using it on fruits and vegetables ….. I then decided to give this knife a try….. I am pleasantly surprised at how well it performs…..The reviews on how good this knife is were all true…..Any kind of peeling or trimming up of fruits and vegetables is done with accuracy and ease….Love this knife

Very sharp!
Well made knife. Arrived sharp, but I did give it a couple swipes on the steel when it arrived.I like that the "beak" is a bit less curved than other brands.Japanese knives are the best!

A very useful little paring knife. MAC Knives.
Nice sized hooked blade. It has a very thin profile that allows it to slice effortlessly when peeling veg and fruit. The only thing I can find anything negative to say about the knife is that the scales are a tad uncomfortable in your hand.Overall I give the paring knife a 9 out of 10.MAC knives are really excellent value.

My favorite bird's beak peeler.
This is one of the very best paring knives I own. Some people call these "turning knives" and think of the French "tourné" cut, but I assure you I never practice that, however for many delicate task this is the knife to have. Like cutting up strawberries, where you have to cut out the crown (with the tip of the knife), and also, as you go along, you have to cut out any bruises. I end up usually cutting the strawberries in 8ths lenghtwise and make a flower arrangement on my morning dish of oats. Drizzle it with balsamic vinegar, and you're good to go! It is for all these types of delicate task that a bird's beak paring/peeling knife is indispensable. Another task is peeling potatoes, which I do mostly after I boil them, but again, you have to also take out any little blemishes or what I call "pits" in the skin, but without taking out the highly nutritous layer just below the skin. The fine tip of this knife is perfect for that. And, because it is only 2-1/2" long, you can work with your thumb opposing the tip without risking that your fingers slide off the handle and on to the sharp of the knife. For my money this is one of the most perfect peeling/paring knives you can find. Even a mundane task like peeling an apple just goes noticeably better with this little gem of a knife.

This is a really sharp knife for speciality cookina and I mean really sharp. Comes carefully package and used wrong you can break the tip so use it for the right purposes. Hand wash and store in it's container.

The perfect small knife
This small knife handles all that could be asked of a small razor sharp blade. Especially trimming strawberries and paring tasks. Well worth the cost.
