Cheap and it works well. Can’t ask for more!
I’ve sliced over 50 lbs of various meats and the first blade is still sharp. There is still one more brand new blade in the box. Make sure your meats are boneless as mentioned in the instructions. My favorite meats to slice are brisket, whole ribeye, and pork belly. I’ve sliced meats that were frozen solid even though the instructions say you should partially thaw then. Solidly-frozen meat is harder to cut, but the meat curls more cleanly for presentation. Partially thawed meat slices easier but doesn’t “look” as pretty, in my experience.I prepare my fresh meats into logs making sure the grain goes in the direction of the length of the log. Then freeze for at least a few hours (i keep logs in the freezer). I slice through several lbs in one sitting since cleanup is not a trivial operation. Once you get into a rhythm on a piece,m it goes pretty fast. The simple stainless steel construction is relatively easy to clean since there are not many nooks or crannies for raw meat to collect. Warm water, soap, and a sponge is all you need.

Remove the white plastic protective film!
The media could not be loaded. I just received this and I can’t wait to use it. Something that isn’t being mentioned is that this will arrive with a white protective film and it will look damaged and dusty. I’ve also seen reviews with pictures of people using this with the film still on. Please remove it! It’s a bit tedious but it needs to be done. Update: I used it, it cuts like butter. Posted a video showing the result of slicing a frozen chuck eye steak. So easy to use. Blade is extremely sharp so be careful when cleaning.

Very very very sharp
This product works very well to cut to make shabu shabu meat or thin meat jerkies. Thickness control is pretty easy with knobs. Be very very careful. THIS THING IS SHARP!

Cumbersome and ineffective
If the meat is completely frozen, it takes a dangerous amount of force to slice through. If it is even half thawed, it shreds the meat. The blade chipped, and the hinge was loose after about 3 slices. This is dangerous. If you're putting enough pressure to try and slice the meat, the arm and blade will snap off.

Only for frozen meat
My mom thaw the meat and tried to slice it but it was smushy. The knife is not sharp enough to slice through smushy meat.

Cost-effective
For this product in particular it is the best for your money. Now luckily for me I have all the tools to sharpen blades for my kitchen and it came in handy to make this device razor sharp cutting the thinnest meat slices. Be sure to turn both knobs to set the settings of how thin you want to slice. Also make sure to take off the blade for its proper care and sharpening.

Very useful
My friend recommended this to me, and he’s already recommended it to many others — they all said it’s really good. So I bought it, and I’m excited to try it!

Best for hotpot
Should buy this item earlier! It is easy to assemble, perfect for cutting meat slice! Easy to clean, though you need to be careful not to hurt by the blade. Beef or lamb slice in the supermarket is crazy expensive than the raw meat, can be 2-3 times more, and you can't tell the meat slice is really the beef or lamb meat you wish. This machine really helps to solve the problem!
