About 10-15% Coasters
While these discs are pretty cheap be prepared to get a number of coasters. My success rate is around 85-90% which is not as low as some but still pretty bothersome. On the successful discs burned I cannot yet attest to how long they will last (I sent a bunch out to a client a couple of months ago and have not heard any complaints... yet). I'm on my second batch of discs now and will report back with how many coasters I got out of that. If it is higher I'll give an extra star.

A good price for decent BluRay discs
A few coasters, but mostly very good burns. These are Infome R40, not R30. They burn very well at 4x and pretty well at 6x in my LiteOn burner. I use these for storing footage from the camcorders. The discs are decent thickness, and the print fine, and you can print the hub as well. Color is a sort of muddy blue-brown on the dye side, and the printable surface is white--ink from an inkjet printer sticks very well and dries quickly. Plays in the standalone. So, basically, very good for the price, and much better quality than most of the other cheap discs, including Ritek.

great product good price
I was so excited about the price and the quality because they burned Ok on my Memorex bluray burner with very few coasters. At first they played ok in all my blu ray players. so I placed one or two more orders thinking I have found the best and cheapest bluray blank discs. Now, four months later, some are failing to play correctly. They don't play on any of the 3 bluray disc players that I have access to ( Sony, Samsung & Philips bluray players). They play the first 10 to 15 minutes and then freeze. I you have them, the best way to check if they are still playable is to skip a few chapters and then let them play a few seconds of each chapter. Once they reach the damaged area they freeze. If you are able to skip chapters to the end of the discs, then yours are still good. This is a revised review because I previously gave them one star and then I noticed that most of the failing discs are Memorex and not Melody. Now I am trying to figure out why some of my blu ray discs are failing. I will let you know as soon as I find out. For now I would definitely recommend them to a friend and the shipping is prompt too.Update:Excellent discs. As of April 2014 I upgraded to a newer LG burner and now no more issues. My old memorex BD burner is to blame for all my issues with these discs in the past. Buy them!!!

Discs Not Recognized by Computer Burner
I purchased this product on price alone, as I've not yet found a blank blu-ray product that didn't work. However, I have a Pioneer Blu-Ray burner in my computer, and it does not recognize these blanks. It's as if there is no blank disc in the computer at all. Some reviewers here have had no problem at all, so my guess is this product is not a complete failure, but I do not recommend this to users with a Pioneer burner in their computer.

Good price until you count $/success.
I got these discs because the price was right. It wasn't until I began trying to archive my important data that I realize the true cost is double. Most of the way through the package, I have exactly a 50% success rate. At $50 for 50 discs, that's about $1 per disc. When you factor in a 50% failure rate, it's really $2 per successful write. Of course, when you throw in all the wasted time and the frusteration, the cost goes up. I don't consider the purchase a total waste, but I wouldn't do it again, and I wouldn't have done it the first time, had I known in advance. Maybe my experience is a fluke. It's hard to tell, as I seem to be only the second one to review. The other review was five stars. Of course, we don't really know if that reviewer works for the seller/manufacturer, or not. Either way, my advice is to go into it with limited expectations. If you do better than me, you can be pleasantly surprised. If not, limited expectations will keep you from being totally let down. Give your own review, so everyone will know.

Will burn
These discs are capable at burning at 8x which gives me about a 12 minute burn for 25 gb.....not bad. The drawback is the printing surface. It comes out very low quality but it serves the purpose.

Melody blu ray blanks
So far I have burned 5 disc and all have burned well. But one didn't verify right at the beginning of the write. But when I play it back, it played fine with no problem. So 5 burns and no problem with them so far. I am using a Memorex external 12X burner. They burned pretty close to the 4X speed, using this burner. I have also burned a couple of Ridata blu ray blank on this burner and they also burned fine and verified OK. Only time will tell if these generic blu ray disc will hold up OK or not. For now, I quite satisfied with the results.

Perfect Backups!
These Melody BD-R 25GB discs have performed great. I have not had a failed burn yet. As mentioned by others, these discs have media ID's of: INFOME-R40 (INFOME-R30- older). If you google "INFOME-R40 or R30" you can find comprehensive reviews of the quality of the dozen or so actual disc manufacturers. The Melody (INFOME-R40) are near the top of all BD-R 25GB discs available, quality and longevity wise. They are made in Taiwan.I burn my DVD and Blu-Ray discs on three different drives: LG WH14NS40; LG WH12LS38; and a LG WH10LS30. All have been updated to the latest firmwares. As such, all three have also worked fine with these Melody BD-R blank discs. The LG WH14NS40 also supports BDXL discs and M-discs. I have been burning the Melody BD-R discs with the maximum speed set at 4X for these LG drives. However, I also have "speed control" enabled on AnyDVD so it decides the best burn speed. Burn times have been about 38-45 minutes. Meanwhile, I burn Data Discs with IMGBurn, and they have all been good too.I use Aiseesoft Blu-ray Copy which has tons of editing features: BD50 to BD50; clone; BD50 to BD25; full disc; movie only; user specified control over chapter selection and audio tracks plus subtitles total control. It just always produces playable BDs with these Melody discs. I wish Melody made BD50 blancs too.At just over 50 cents each the Melody BD-R discs have proven to be a great value.
