Verbatim DataLifePlus BD-R 25GB 16X White Inkjet Printable, 50 Pack

Been using Verbatim Blu-ray discs for several years as the Sonys were getting hard to find and quite expensive. These seem to work fine if you have a good optical burner. I think the only defective ones are some I caused. Waiting to see about the longevity, the oldest recording I have is about 4 years ago.

Being the owner of a new LG Blu-ray Writer, I have bought some Verbatim disks (having a long history of good compatibility between LG DVD-Writers and Verbatim media). Unfortunately for me, here in Romania the only price-reasonable option for buying Verbatim on larger packs were the LTH (aka organic) version. The result was a disaster - from 15 tries, I ended up with 2 perfectly written disks, 2 more so-so and 11 failed disks (the failures occurred either on the writing phase, either during the verification - I've even tried to wrote them on another Blu-ray writer with the same results). Then I've checked Amazon and I couldn't believe my eyes - these top-of-the-line HTL DataLifePlus disks were cheaper then the LTH Verbatim junk I've bought locally (even after adding transport & taxes). Not to mention that the only re-seller that has DataLifePlus here sells them for twice the Amazon price. I've bought them and I can only say good things about them - I've already wrote around 35 disks with no problem what-so-ever. And they even look and feel better. One last thing - indeed, ImgBurn reports that those disks can be written with a speed of up to 12x! I haven't tried it yet, but it's nice to have this option. So, forget all those bargain disks with flashy covers and buy something that really works. Thumbs up for DataLifePlus!

I have been using Verbatim InkJet White (Surface) Printable discs of all types, professionally for years at work. Those in the same type business know that other brands have a certain percentage of disc-burn failures. Oh sure, they warrant their product with guarantied free replacement, but that is just a "Big-Laugh" because protected information can not be released back to them, and a disc replacement does NOT replace the time it took to make it. All Verbatim discs I have used over the years have NOT have a failure or defect. Also, we have never had a "Jet-Ink Smear" when either using a professional Microboards or a consumer Canon Disc-tray $99 dollar home printer. Ink smear often occurs on several "off-brand" discs, because of poor label surface "indention" properties. In terms of printing, Indention is the capability of the ink to penetrate the surface and adhere without residual ink remaining on the surface. In simple words, you want the ink to remain on the disc and NOT on your fingers etc. I can tell you, I've never had a bad burn and/or label print on any Verbatim discs.

I have fallen in love with printable discs. I printed a label on a dvd before and my PS3 wouldn't play it, but my sister's would. I began looking into alternatives, and I can't believe that after four years of professional photography and videography, these have escaped me until recently. The prints look gorgeous and professional, and more importantly, personalized to my clients. The detail is far beyond what I would expect for something trivial as a disc; I would never think it would take detail as well as it does. These discs have far exceeded my expectations, and I hope to use these for years to come. I will be purchasing many, many more times. I print on a Canon Pro-100, and use the native "My Image Garden", but I create my own covers in Photoshop and then use that as a jpg in the "My Image Garden". The moment I realized I wanted these, I immediately wondered why I had never found them before. Don't delay if you're considering these.

I've ordered this product before and the quality is excellent. The packaging and shipping on the prior order was also excellent. First a little about my PRIOR order. Each cake box in the prior order was wrapped in bubble wrap and extra padding was included in the box to secure the product. I believe this was from an independent seller hence the care taken to ensure the customer's products arrived in good shape. The CURRENT order was for 2 50-disk cake boxes and this was from Amazon. The shipping box arrived crushed, the cake boxes were broken, and the disks were loose inside. The only packing material in the box was two air pillows, which were broken. Thus the cake boxes were rolling around loose until the air pillows broke and after that the disks were loose. I estimate I lost about 25% of my disks due to scratches. I was out of the country for several months when this happened so this is my first opportunity to provide feedback. Disk quality is excellent. Beware of packaging from Amazon because it's terrible. Buy from independent sellers whose rating is good.

I've been in the video business for over 20 years, and this is the best brand of discs. I keep coming back to purchase them because they are great quality, and I rarely have any issues with this product. Verbatim is the best disc I've found on the market! These also print great.

I search for, and pay a premium for, non-organic dye that is more stable and presents greater longevity. I hope this Verbatim product number 97339 is still that. This is the one product number of the Verbatim blu-ray lineup that DOES NOT SAY "LTH" (low-then-high) so, I trust that this is not the cheaper organic product. I trust that this Verbatim product number 97339 is still IN-organic dye I expect to be in the package and that it uses "HTL" (high-then-low) write strategy as a result. The color of the dye is shiny silver. That's a good indication. Used to be "HTL" was all you needed to know to get the good stuff. However, I think I have seen some blu-ray discs lately that have a purple tinge under light reflected at an angle and that would indicate somebody out there is tainting non-organic dye with organic mixes to make it cheaper. To top it off, it seems that to cover-up the issue, those tainted mixes seem to be able to cope with HTL write strategy even though they have some organic dye in the mix. So, LTH and HTL don't really tell the full story any more. I wish Verbatim would step out ahead of the pack and label these as IN-organic if that's what they are. I think they are. I hope they are! Sometimes, I need discs with the stability, longevity, and universal compatibility of the non-organic dye discs. I trust that's what these are.

Good BD R discs. Burning must be done at 2X speed (4X is the fastest I've been able to successfully complete a burn). This version of the disc is # 98397. I use the Maxell CD 340 drive cleaner prior to burning. Too soon to comment on longevity as I've only been using these since Dec 2024

These bluray discs are excellent. Fast delivery to Canada. I tested an entire bundle of 50 before ordering more due to reading some 1 star reviews. Out of 50 discs I made 3 coasters - 2 my fault as i am picking with naming the folders. So in actually out of 50 discs I had 1 ligitimate coaster that gave crc errors. Super happy with the purchase. Actually ordered another 100 since testing was excellent. This is a review on the 100 discs - so far 20 discs in and zero coasters. Usings Anyburn with ASUS BW-16X-U USB Burner. I would say 99.9% success rate so far.

I've been using recordable media since the mid-1990s, and Verbatim continues to provide top-notch products at reasonable prices. Never had any trouble with their discs, whether CD-R, DVD+/-R or BD-R. Excellent quality and unbeatable longevity. If you care about your content, you can't go wrong with these. They're not the cheapest, but definitely worth the premium.
