I highly praised this ointment because it quickly cools and calms burning and itching. The ointment quickly provides shrinkage of swollen tissue thanks to active vasoconstrictors like phenylephrine. Soothing formulas containing aloe or smooth petroleum receive high marks from me for the comfortable, non-irritating applicator. The soothing relief wears off after a few hours, requiring repeat applications. I feel name-brand options are slightly expensive and this brand Preparation H, in my opinion works better than generic store alternatives. I have to advise the Ointment version can feel greasy or stain clothing if not used carefully. I use this brand when I have a flare-up, it’s the best.

I actually use this for under and around my eyes for puffiness. I am 60 and have been doing this for decades and am told I do not have wrinkles becauseof it. Comparing to the smae stuff in 1990s this has no smell and not too oily feeling if you dont use too much. For what I use it for its effectiveness works great with no irritation. For what the cost is compared to expensive creams its value is great

Too much potty time bc you had too much cheese ? Post baby body and now you get hemorrhoids? Its ok ! Youre not alone! This stuff is gold .sure its a bit intrusive having to use it for those internal baby craters but within 30 min ...life is better...things are smoother and any itch is GONE. Worth it . And lasts until the next time you have too much greasy food.
