As someone who has worked in this industry for 20 years, I can say this book is very elementary and while it may have some small seeds of wisdom and advice for someone completely new to this work, it reads more like a person journal. If you cut all the banter out of it, it the useful information could be summed up in a small internet article.

A " must have" book for brand ambassadors old and new.
Having made a career in the event marketing industry for the past ten years, this book is unbelievably accurate, well -written, and useful. What makes this book even more valuable is that it has an honest and practical approach that can serve rookies and veterans to the industry alike. I wish this book was available when I first discovered brand ambassador work. No telling how much further ahead I would be today. every. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone interested in the subject.

... "promotional marketing" a fancy term for passing out stuff like free samples
This book tells you how to get work in "promotional marketing" a fancy term for passing out stuff like free samples, fliers, and bagel bites at places like grocery stores, concerts, outdoor festivals, etc. Nothing wrong with that kind of work, but please don't be confused that it's some new miraculous way to make easy money. Passing fliers in 100 or 5 degree weather for $15/hr for 8 hours is not that easy to me. That would be like someone trying to sell a book called "The Cashier Handbook - Everything you need to know about counting money fast at a checkout line." I think you get the point. The Promo Rockstar group that Edwin mentions is just a simple group on Facebook - You can become a member in 10 seconds.[...]Also watch out for the people that give this handbook a good review...they are friends with Edwin and of course will do him the favor of giving him a good review. You want an impartial opinion, which is what you're getting here.If you are still really curious about this industry and how to get the "jobs," let me save you the time and money of reading this "Handbook" with the following resources that will allow you to get any "promo" gig you want.- Join Brand Ambassadors and Clutch Media groups on Facebook for your respective city. I.E. Brand Ambassadors of Chicago, Brand Ambassadors of New York, CA-Los Angeles Clutch Media Group, etc. ALL the gigs are posted there!- Check daily the Craigslist - Gigs - Events section in your respective city.- Go to [...] daily to look for nationwide gigs.- To get the format to write a "promotional" resume simply go to [...]That's it. Good luck.

1 star is too many
I rented this book through my Amazon Unlimited account. After browsing through the first bit, I gave up due to the fact that this is complete garbage. Nothing here is worth $7.99...it's not even worth the space on my HD. You want to learn how to be a brand ambassador, do some free reading online.
