I love the light is adjustable if you want it high or low, I put it in a full-body mirror, it is beautiful, it is durable, I have 4 years with the lights and they are still working at 100%.

I was looking for a hidden lighting solution for my newly renovated pantry, and didn't want a battery-powered solution. Everything I'd researched indicated that at best the batteries would last 2-5 weeks, and I wasn't interested in yet another charging scenario. While my pantry doesn't have an internal electrical outlet, it is positioned next to the refrigerator, which obviously does, and separated by an internal, uninsulated 8" drywall. A small hole through the wall, and the purchase of an additional 10ft 12VDC extension cable (also via AMZN), and I was in business.The pantry is not particularly large - it's a step-in that is 2 doors wide, with 6 custom-made solid oak shelves that are adjustable in height. With 6 shelves that are 16.25" deep, you really want to have a lighting solution that shines into the shelves at all levels, so an LED strip light sounded like the best solution to me, which meant that I wanted a light that would be positioned at the door, facing backwards into the pantry. What initially attracted me to this one was (a) the length of the two strips (16.4 feet or 5 meters each), (b) the packaging that included the ability to cut and join the strips with supplied connectors, making it easy to put strips around 90 degree corners such as those found on the perimeter of a door frame (and shown in the picture), (c) the fact that the larger one comes with 2 strips, and the controller has an adapter to supply power to both strips - this was crucial because my installation required that the power control button be mounted about 4 feet above the floor, and rather than buy a 2nd power extension cable to run power to a connector on the floor (because the included cable wasn't long enough) I opted to cut a length from the 2nd strip and simply use that, and finally (d) the price - it's really hard to beat $22 for this setup.The light temperature of 6500k is perfect for the pantry - yeah, it can be dimmed, but I wasn't super interested in that. The amount of light shed is also just right - I opted for the "white" as opposed to "warm white" or "yellow" color.Installation of the strip is super simple - to get around the 90 degree corners, you're going to want to cut it, and then join it with the wired connectors (of which 2 are supplied). Since the strip comes with double-sided tape attached to it, you need to carefully peel off the double-sided tape from about 3mm at the end of the strip, insert it into the (opened) connector, underneath the two lip guides, and underneath the two contact points. It doesn't matter if you use black as positive and red as negative or vice-versa, all that is required is that it is an inline connection with no wire cross-over. Once the strip is snug under the connector contact points, you can close the connector clip. See one of the pictures for the connected strip. Since the cabling itself can't be seen unless you really stick your head into the pantry I did not opt to cut it to length and secure it carefully - I may do that in future, but since nobody can actually see it ...Do your measurement, cutting and joining *before* you attach the strips to their final location. The adhesive sticks firmly, and doesn't want to come off once you've secured it in place. Make sure you cut *only* at the indicated contact points (little copper connectors), and cut *exactly* where the scissor marks indicate. I would recommend installing the switch to its correct place before you connect and install the strips, because it may be your biggest limiting factor. At a minimum, mock it all out first.In summary, this is a super cheap, 12VDC powered LED light strip for those who *don't* want the hassle of a battery. The dimmable, 6000-6500K light strip that is perfect for making a neat and hidden lighting solution in many different scenarios, and was perfect for my requirements. The only thing that we don't yet know is longevity. Typically LEDs last for 10s of thousands of hours, and I have no reason to believe that this will not do the same. Five stars all around.

these are great! I put them up at work and they have been on 24/7 for about 1.5 months now. they look good as new! my only issue with them is that its hard to dim. you have to hold down the button and its kinda difficult to make them the exact brightness you want

They're cool.. a little fragile, since they're not encased or coated with anything, but the adhesive is strong and still easy to pull up without ruining either the strips or the mounting surface --tho' I can't say the same for the adhesive, so be prepared to replace it if you're gonna move them.Biggest issue is a lack of connectors, support clips, etc. HUGE problem! I mean, there's 5 METERS of the stuff -that's around 16 feet! Unless you're using it for Christmas lights around your eaves (which you can't; it's not protected for outdoor use), you're gonna be chopping it into various lengths for various uses. And 2 connectors and 4 or 5 clips for extraneous wiring doesn't begin to cut it! There's only one connection to the power supply, too, which is problematic, but not impossible to modify.I'm great at that stuff, cuz I've been working with those sort of materials since I was, like, 9 or 10, so it was easy to create my own, but most people -especially those under 35 or so, are unlikely to be experienced (or even educated) in the sort of electrical/mechanical/chemical techniques that would make creating practical and workable plastic & metal components out of raw materials easy for them do.So there needs to be a LOT more connectors, etc. included in kits with more than 10 feet of lighting strip, and given that they come from China, including more of these parts wouldn't mean a significant price increase ($2 or $3 would easily cover a dozen or so). At the VERY least there should be an order list included and extras easily available, meaning locally (as in, in the United States); none of this having to order stuff coming from China BS which, by the time it arrives, you've either forgotten what it's for or aged out of small detail activities..Other than that, it's a great kit!

Second time I've purchased! Use first one under kitchen cabinets at old condo.Second set used same way at new place. Easy to place, looks good and the extra lighting helps.

Easy to install - looks great. As a matter of fact these light strips look amazing. When not lit, looks like some kind of hi-tech “tape”, but when lit they look like tiny, strong orbs of light. Under cabinet, they are the stars of the show. I’m kicking myself, asking “that’s all I had to do to get this result?!” And I love the intensity control (dimmer button). It flashes once when you’ve reached the bottom or the top. One strip did all my cabinets with about 4 inches left over! Perfect!

Well, I have this same strip/brand that I purchased in late 2019, and they look marvelous under my kitchen cabinets---took all of 5 minutes to install.Fast forward to this most recent purchase 9 months later. I bought the double length this time around. Well, it comes in two diff strips........the adhesive strip is an absolute nightmare- I either got a defective box or the adhesive peel away strip is far far less quality than the older version of this exact item. I want to note that the lights themselves are spectacular even on this purchase, they look and function perfect! They brighten and dim and have no issues on the actual item. I would say though-if the adhesive strip changed in quality, go back to the old version. I have made every single bed, installed every single light fixture, change alternators and work on cars, etc etc. I know how to install and put things together.----It's the peel away paper that doesn't peel off. You fight it, it tears and I can't even get to the adhesive part of the strip through 80% of it. I fought it for a long time...... After 30 minutes of fighting this adhesive strip, I gave up, put them up and am not happy at all with how it looks. I hand made this soda fountain and had to get it bolted to the wall in time for my party this weekend. The strips had to go in so I can finish the rest of the room tomorrow. I will most certainly be removing these and just donating them because they are worthless at this point and make the hand made finished product look sloppy....The only thing in the room not making it to the weekend are these lights---hand made the cabinet in 3 hours but spent almost an hour just messing with these frustrating strip lights.......When I pull out duct tape, there is a big big problem, these got the tape treatment as the last resort...... Gotta get better adhesive strips-the paper tears all the way down, it took me 20 minutes to peel paper of 4 inches of one of these strips. I have 3m clips I had to go buy and used duct tape to make it presentable to the naked eye for this party. I have since taped the sagging parts, but it's a battle from the angles I have to work with etc. Not a fan of these any longer after this experience. Will be looking for an alternative next week.

The tape is easily cut into a number of pieces. I did also buy a feed kit to terminate the ends. Very bright, I have it dimmed to the lowest level about 10%. The tape is on a smartplug to turn it on and off on a schedule. I have also used the tape in table lamps, salt light, that did require additional 12v dc power supplies. The 16 feet went a long way.

Very easy to connect and fix up. However the dimmer does not work.
