Great message but could have been more concise
I've been selling for nearly 30 years and felt Chris did a nice job of outlining the key points to a solid "elevator" pitch. My only criticism is that I think the message could have been conveyed appropriately in a third of the pages. Level of detail felt like overkill, which is ironic given the very subject of the book. Full disclosure: I'm not much of a book reader given the massive volume of information I'm already absorbing day to day in my high-tech sales career. I favor the "net it out" exec summ approach.

As "Elevator Pitch Champion," you'd expect Chris Westfall to know a thing or two about crafting a strong and compelling personal/business introduction. Well, he actually knows SEVEN things about the subject, represented by the letters CLARITY. Put them together and you have a practical, actionable guide to getting your message heard. I liked this book so much that I quickly sought out Chris for my podcast, "Life's A Pitch." I wasn't disappointed, he really knows and is passionate about his subject. You won't be disappointed in "The New Elevator Pitch."

I came across this book at the right time. Good tips, insight and approach to saying it all in 2 minutes! I learned how to pare down my elevator speech and leave in the most important pieces that gets a prospective client to say 'tell me more!' Excellent!

Great guidance on developing the answer to; "what do you do?" Not only that but there are online references that will lead you to the web and video information on the subject at hand.

Concise, understandable, and mandatory!
Don't kid yourself, everything is sales whether you're asking your boss for a raise, presenting the quarterly sales numbers to your division head, or getting your teenager to clean up the room. The New Elevator Pitch will help you take the first steps towards getting your point across. There are useful exercises to help you as read through and there are some great links to relevant, recorded examples. If you ever have the need to get someone's attention in the hope of getting your point across then you'll need to start with this book.

Producto Defectuoso
El libro tiene buen material y es muy aplicabe. Lo que mas me gusto en un principio es que el autor incluia enlaces a videos en los cuales se podia ver esas ideas puestas en practica.Desafortunadamente muchos de esos videos ya no estan disponibles (los videos aparecen como "privados" en YOUTUBE o los enlaces no te llevan a ningun lugar). A pesar de que el material es bueno deberia de venderse a precio de remate, pues es un producto defectuoso.
