This filter works great and can hold a lot of dirt before the pressure drops, more than other filters of the same micron rating I have tried. I even used them to the point that I had a layer of sediment laying on the bottom of my filter housing and the filter was pure clay red color but still had very little pressure drop. As with all filters (air, water, furnace, your dryer etc), the more dirt, sand, and silt, dust, pollen in your water or air, the more often you will have to replace the filter. Seems like common sense but a lot of people leave negative reviews expecting a 1 micron filter to last 3 months with dirty well water. This filter has a nominal rating of 75-25 microns. This is the perfect filter for most people on well water that want a whole house filter and gives a good balance of sediment free clean water and replacement times and I haven't had to clean out my faucet and washing machine screens once since using them. If you want additional filtration for drinking and cooking, consider an additional undersink system with a 1-5 micron rating. You'll end up replacing all of the filter less often.

Excellent replacement for filter, allows good water flow and still is filtering better than the ones at the Depot. Way cheaper too for what you get.

These fit the filter casing and did the job well.

This is a great sediment cartridge for basic well water. It does not easily clog with the 75/25 micron gradient but it will keep out pretty much all sediments. It's nice that it does not promote bacterial growth and when I change it after a few months the color shows just how much its catching (from bright white to a dingy yellow). I have tried numerous other cartridge filters and this is the go to one for basic pre filtration to save your other filters down the line.

I use this filter with my whole house well pump and found it to work as good as advertised. No loss of water pressure and it has continued to work past the ideal replacement time frame.

I only use pentair big blue filters. Never had an Issue!

Works well for us. We can buy it at a better price online than we would be paying our plumber, and it is master plumber approved over the store variety name brand pleated filters.

I have been useing these filters for a while now, they work very well. Best part is that they save installing another filter housing for progressive filter sizes. I have reccomended these to several friends.

The perfect filter for the Pentek-Clear-LX-10 as a pre-filter to my charcoal 5 micron filter that follows this one in line. My 5 micron charcoal filter was loading up in a week with large sediments, and now with this and its design of 75 microns outer and 25 microns inner I'm getting a significantly longer life of BOTH filters. Wish I did this last year.

This product said it was the same as viqua it was not. Water was smelling and not clear after this was put in
