Village Hats Indian Pith Helmet - Khaki

I never write a review unless I am either extremely pleased or outraged with dissatisfaction. AMAZING product, worth my time to recommend. Unbelievable quality for the price considering the overall lack of demand. For general purpose i would give this 9/10 but with such a reasonable price its a definite 10! Delivery was prompt and easy, so much so that if i ever need to buy a hat again, I will first check to see if I can get it through Village Hats. One warning, I believe i have a relatively small head, and I wear the helmet on pretty much to limit of its looseness. If you know you have a very large head, maybe think twice before taking a gamble, maybe find one you can try on or order one of a different design and hope for the best.

I am on medication that requires my being shaded from direct sunlight. Perfect for me and at my age I feel silly walking about in a baseball cap. I have purchased over six in the past few years and look forward to the day when under the rim green material is used to reduce the glare of the sun.

The hat is well made and very light and comfortable. It's much better than a panama hat for keeping your head cool. It's the best thing I've bought off the internet. How else would I have found one? I'm a very happy customer.

Great head ware, very high quality and exactly as advertised on the web.. delivery was very prompt. Looking forward to using them in India, all be it keeping a weather eye for folk taking our pictures!!

I had a very similar pith helmet (different company, half the price) that lasted less than a year, only because the synthetic strap tore out. This one has a leather strap and appears to be attached better to the hat. With reasonably gentle treatment, it should last for many years. I have a small head (5' tall), and the hat fits although if I was any smaller that might not be said. I am very pleased. Ventilation, protection from the sun, plus ability to get wet without harm--perfect.

Nice hat. Good ventilation keeps my head cool. Perfect to wear in hot tropical climates.

Helm / Hut nicht in der Praxis als solcher zu gebrauchen. Er riecht selbst nach paar Wochen noch nach Chemie also nichts für Kinder. Für eine Requisite oder draußen als Kostüm dennoch nutzbar.
