Samsung Galaxy S5 Case S View Flip Cover Folio, Pink

This cover has given new life to my S5. I had a wallet/kickstand case from the time I bought the phone, and it completely hid the phone's beauty as everything, even all the chrome edging, was covered in the rubber mould. That was the price for excellent protection. My phone survived falls on a treadmill and other dangerous situations in that trusty wallet case. Sadly, the rubber mould became brittle, and I went looking for a new case.After two years, I've learnt how to take care of my phone, so I thought I'd take the chance with this item. The case is so beautiful, a lovely pearly pink which shimmers in the light. The material is smooth and very pleasant to touch. There is a much slimmer form factor than experienced with other cases due to this cover replacing the original backing. The S-View also made me discover things about my phone that I'd forgotten or never knew about. I loved being able to see items on the S-View, and use it to interact with calls, alarms, and music to name a few. Once I installed this case, I went on a journey redecorating my phone's app icon layout, putting in widgets, and overall having an incredible time. My phone has the electric blue backing which I never got to see with my old black wallet case, so I really appreciated this gorgeous pink that I could see all the time.When I first received the case, I was afraid to flip the cover all the way back, so I held it like a little book. I got tired of this quickly, and figured I'd just put the phone with the screen facing downwards if the cover refused to close all the way after being flipped open like that. Usually after having the case open in this manner, the cover does not close all the way. This sometimes causes the S-View and unlocking of the phone to rapidly switch between themselves. All I do is leave it on its face (the cover being closed and resting with the phone screen facing a surface) for a while, and the cover stays shut after that.The cover material (pink area) does not attract finger prints or anything of the sort. The S-View window does. I use the microfiber cloth from my spectacles case to clean it up from time to time. This isn't an issue for me. The pink area does feel as though it would pick up scratches easily, and I would assume they would be unsightly and very visible. I've done my best to prevent it from touching anything that my scratch it and I've been successful so far. Hopefully it's hardier than I think it is so that it's able to retain its beauty for a while to come.This cover made me fall in love with my phone all over again, and has given it a new life. I would recommend this cover to anyone who takes care of their phone and isn't prone to dropping it as the cover isn't likely to stay shut in such an event.

I've had this case on my S5 for over 2 years. I like it so much I'll purchase a backup just in case. What I like is1) Phone unlocks as soon as you open the cover2) A special Time, Date, Count of Calls/Messages, Temperature shows through the clear 1/2 window as soon as you open slightly. So to see if any missed messages or just the TIME/Date I Open slightly then close. Shows all for several seconds3) It's VERY thin. Replaces the S5 back so it's nearly as slim as the phone itself.4) Provides some protection for the phone.5) Made by samsung and so fits the phone and allow for mic, camera, speaker to show6) Can generally answer/cancel an incoming call withOUT even opening the case (clear area allows touch)7) Did I mention, unlocks phone with zero fumbling...just open the case8) Many reviewers whiners find it won't stay closed. That changes within days. It's fine.9) Access holes are fine so talking with cover closed works fine.10) Great price now that these aren't for new phones.11) Very durable. I carry all day in a front pocket and use multiple times. Case looks pristine. Seriously.(Now what shall I do if the phone quits and I have to get a new, big, no-repair, no-replace battery model especially since Samsung stopped making rugged functional phones like the S5.)

My old case ripped so I decided to get a new one. When I saw this case, I wasn't sure if it was an original case or not but I believe it was. It even had "Samsung S5" engraved on the center bottom of the cover in the style Samsung writes it. My phone attached properly to the case and it allowed the phone to use the special case features like taking pictures or seeing received messages on the screen when the cover was closed and it kept the phone's waterproof feature intact. I thought it was pretty cool and it often proved convenient especially when taking pictures or listening to music in the shower. The case is also nice looking. The white and slim look gave off a sleek vibe.But this leads me to the cons of the case. Because the case was white, it obviously got dirty very quickly. I would clean the case but when the stitching lining the case and the edges got dirty, the case no longer held that crisp white color to it. Also, I was prone to dropping my phone. A lot. Although nothing really bad happened to my S5 (like a shattered screen or malfunctioning phone), the my phone's silver lining did get a lot of dents. Plus the case would snap off when it fell which I did not like because then the back of my Galaxy was exposed since you do need to take the back cover off the S5 to use the case. I always felt like dust kept going inside when this would happen. (And for those interested in knowing, the case does include the rubber lining that helps make the Samsung S5 waterproof and it worked). So I did my best to blow out any offending dust particles and try to forget about it which I mostly succeeded in doing.I would recommend this case to those seeking a nice looking authentic case, especially for those trying to copy the phones and the cases that come out in the popular Korean dramas. That was the main reason I got this case in the first place. The money I paid for it was not bad either. But if you are looking for a case that will protect your phone from any dents or scratches, then I definitely do not recommend it. Maybe I was lucky that nothing bad happened to my Galaxy after dropping it so many times, but others may not be as lucky.

En otra ocasión compre el mismo case y le duró más de 4 años funcionando perfectamente y apenas estando un poco raspado. La ventana ayuda mucho a utilizar el celular sin necesidad de abrirlo, lo protege perfectamente y hasta le salva de las caidas. La marca, obviamente, respalda el producto y es garantía de uso, vista y funcionamiento.La mejor decisión, una lástima que no haya de este tipo para celulares posteriores como el S8 o S9.

Excellent quality material and protects the phone while looking classy

Colour is gorgeous! It's a true rose gold. Not sure why other reviews said the cover doesn't fully close all the way down because I wrap my cover all the way around, and then when I'm done it closes flush with the phone in a matter of seconds. It's super sleek and not bulky at all.

This is no where close to Samsung original case. This is just a case which I could have bought on a road side cart. If I close the flap, it does turn on the phone display rather than putting it into Display off mode. This often even triggers unintended calls or actions causing lot of nuisance.Since it turns on the display, it is eating the battery very fast.

Absolutley perfect, great case and great price.
