Perfect in every way.
If I was walking through a nursery and spotted the tree these guys sent to me, I would have fought off a pack of hyenas to get to it. It's perfect. Absolutely perfect. I don't know how they managed it, but they read my mind on the shape I had hoped for - a gentle bend in the primary and secondary branches. Super healthy, gorgeous leaves, and I love it so much I almost don't want to take it outside. What an amazing value for what they sent. I feel like I stole it. Seriously.

Canceled order for tree but was sent anyways!!
Plant arrived nearly dead. Priced way too high for such a small dying tree !!

Tree Survived The Journey
I was afraid that the tree might not survive the journey. Happy to see that it was still fresh on arrival. This was a grafted tree and the graft region looks a little bit bad. We'll see how it'll turn out but very happy with the purchase so far. The tree is beautiful!

Floating Cloud maple in good condition
So far I am very happy with my purchase. The small tree arrived safely and quickly. It was packed well and even though it is hot outside the dirt was moist and the leaves looked fine. I am not expert on grafting but the graft looks OK. It appears to be the correct cultivar. I will repot and keep in a pot in part-shade for a year before planting in the ground. I expect to be very happy with the results and have ordered a few more cultivars.

It’s very small.
It’s a pretty little tree. It’s not a 54 dollar tree. Buyer beware.

Absolutely gorgeous species! The variegation is already showing.
So, when some people read a 1 year or 2 year plant on these grafts I think in their mind it is a huge plant, but here is the important bit to take from that, in this case it is a Ukigomo Floating Cloud Japanese Maple, that is important because this species does not show variegation (the coloring that people like so much) until about 2 years.Like I said the thing to take away from the graft being from a 2-year plant is that when your leaves grow and your tree starts to grow you do not have to wait 2 years to see if its even the right maple! lol... it does not mean it is a huge plant, typically sample plant pics are just of adults or adolescents already displaying features (unless specified otherwise). That being said, I received mine as just a stem grown from root grafted to a 2 year branch, and though it came with no leaves attached and semi-dormant from the winter, it only took about 3 days after repotting in my own soil and putting it under a Sansi natural light (the nice 60 watt 4 prong led one) and this beautiful thing came to life.Honestly, even though it was cold weather dormant when it arrived and had no leaves the small branch grafted was still very healthy looking, and plump stemmed with pregrowth at every node, it was a good selection for grafting during the winter season, and it recovered under the light very quickly.Really just an amazing species, and I really should just talk about the species and not the graft style or supplier but this is an extremely rare species with usually only scammers selling, the one supplier on here sent me an amazing little grafted branch, and people kind of need to realize that these super rare species are worth it, and if you know what you are doing they come very viable. As for misunderstandings, its neither the species nor the sellers fault, know what you are buying, and know where you are leaving reviews. This is about a plant, a product.EDIT: added 2 more pics just about a few days to a week along, ignore the golden chain tree sapling in the background of the 2nd larger growth one (5th one total.)

Twigs
Do not buy from this seller! I purchased 3 different Japanese maple at a cost of over $100. I thought they would come in 1 gal container. However they were actually grafted twigs which fit in a US Post office sized box. You will probably not see them mature in your lifetime if they even survive. So disappointing. I'm only not returning because it's too much bother to try to pack them back up and send them back. I bought another Japanese maple from a different company. Same price but in a gal container and much larger. Please note that I re-potted them as per their instructions on their website. They arrived in mini pots that were approximately 3 inch square containers. I only gave 1 star because it wouldn't allow me to give zero.

Not sure this is a 50$ tree or not...
I think other people have posted enough pics to get the point across. The "tree" is in fine shape, but the pictures on the listing aren't representative of what you'll actually receive. They're probably great in representing what your tree will grow INTO... but not what you get, so i'd rate the listing as borderline deceptive. If the pics were better, i'd probably bump this to between a 3-4 as it is a hard to find tree with limited availability. Due it's rarity\availability, I wasn't expecting a 4 gallon pot for 50$, but I suspect if they showed pics of the actual product, most people would balk at the price\size comparison. Their loss.
