Can this be cut down?

The entire magnetic chalkboard is composed of some type of cardboard base with a very thin piece of magnetic chalkboard type material wrapped over the cardboard frame and stapled to the back. If you wanted to cut down the chalkboard, I think you'd have to unstaple and peel back the top layer of thin chalkboard material, cut the cardboard, then cut the chalkboard material to fit and wrap it over the newly cut cardboard base. Whether that would work, I really don't know.
