This set is a powerhouse. I used it to strip paint off a tile floor, and it worked like a charm. I have an aluminum skinned teardrop trailer that I built 11 years ago. I has a tongue box to hold the battery and tools. I had to rebuild the tongue box, replacing the wooden inner structure and re-using the original aluminum skin. Being on the tongue of the trailer, the box suffered a greater accumulation of road grime and dirt thrown up by the towing vehicle and the reused aluminum skin was unsightly. Once complete the outer skin had residual clear silicone sealer in addition to the road grime and oxidation that I couldn't clean with solvent or soap & water. I used a razor blade to clean the silicone residue and polished the skin with the red pads on a orbital sander. The pads removed the road grime and oxidation quite easily. The remnants of the silicone took a bit more work. For me, this was an experiment and I am very pleased with the results. The pads held up to aggressive use. Polishing with the red pads took away the fine scuffs I left with the sharp edge of the razor blade and the mill finish that originally came on the aluminum when it was new. In place of the mill finish the pads left an even, clean, flat finish (flat as in no reflective gloss). Once I reinstall the box, I'll give it a coat of automotive paste wax that will wear away and allow a patina to return that I expect will eventually match the patina of the main trailer body.

I was really pleased to get the package so quickly! I also purchased a brush set from another vendor that was delivered in the same box. I successfully used the cleaning brushes with my drill and cleaned everything in sight. I now decided to use the cleaning pad attachment on my stainless steel sink. WOW ... working great!!! THEN SNAP!!! The shaft snapped! A piece is STUCK in my drill hindering USELESS! NOW ... BOTH the pad and drill are now useless!! (see photos) Tomorrow I am going to try to fix this in my shop. If I am unsuccessful .... I am going to seek damages! UPDATE: I managed to drill a hole in the broken piece that was stuck in the drill and extracted the part. I will modify this with parts made in the USA and I am sure this scrubber will work great! My suggestion is this >>>> Purchase this ONLY if you are mechanically inclined to upgrade the shaft! DO NOT USE AS IS!! This product is 5 stars when it is modified ....... so now I am upgrading the rating to 3 stars.

I bought this to recondition the surface of the headlamps on my older cars. I used Mothers mag and aluminum polish. got a chair and did this sitting down. I first tried using it with the finest abrasive pad, but didn't like the results. Then I switched to the soft buffing pads and it worked great. I put the short rod in my battery powered drill, attached a buffing pad with the velcro type interface, dipped the pad directly in the can of polish, then I spread it on a headlight. I found on high speed, it really went too fast and a lot of my polish went shooting every which a way. So, I reduced it to slow speed. I went all over the lens slowly. The wiped off with paper towels. Then sprayed with water and wiped off with paper towels again. I would find spots I didn't get well enough, so I did it a second time focusing on the areas I had not worked on enough. Then repeated the wipe and rinse. In an hour I had done both head lamps on 2 cars. I should have no trouble passing inspection now. Total cost about 30 bucks and an hours worth of time. Maybe there's another package with just the soft polishing attachments that would be even cheaper.
