This is the absolute best base coat I have ever found.

I’m really happy with this ridge filler base coat. It goes on easily and smoothly, creating a nice even surface for polish. It also dries fairly quickly, which makes the whole manicure process easier. Once I applied my lacquer, it went on smoothly over the base, and the final result looked great. I’ve had it on for almost a week now, and my nails still look really good. I didn’t experience any irritation, which is always important, and the price feels very reasonable for the quality. Overall, this is a great base coat that delivers on smoothing and longevity—I’d definitely keep using it.

i think it was a hunch, when i read a few ingredients in this product, silica and silk, that it might help protect my weak nails. for the last 2 years, i used nail strengther (essie) in hope that my nails would respond positively to it. funny, only a thumb nail of my right hand did, but none others. i could've purchased a same essie stuff again, but i decided to put on a shield on my nails this time around, instead of a medicine. so far, i am happy that it does what i hoped it would. it's designed to be a base coat, so my nails may not become stronger, but at least they are not breaking or peeling underneath. I was losing my hope on nail strengther, but i have found a great alternative.

I bought ella + mila base coat, nail polish and top coat. I originally used just their polish. It wore better than other polishes I had used in the past but not as long as I had anticipated, plus it still chipped a bit on the second day. I contacted the seller about it and they were very helpful. They recommended that to get the full benefit of their products, I should use the base and top coats along with the polish. The photo attached to my review is a picture I took 4 days following application of all three products. There are no chips whatsoever! I even did moderate cleaning yesterday wearing no gloves! I am a believer, and will be a steady customer! Since it’s my first time wearing the polish, I’ve not yet removed it to see if my natural nails are still as strong and healthy as they were before applying. But I feel like they will be. When I removed just the polish the first time I tried it before the base and top coats, it came off very easily with polish remover and my nails looked just fine.

Be Very careful if you have sensitive skin. I applied All About the Base last night. I thought everything was fine. Took my son to school came home and EXTREMELY ITCHY fingers all around my nails. Even feels itchy under my nails which is insane. Turns out this product contains a known allergen, Benzophenone-1. It acts as an ultraviolet (UV) stabilizer. It also Prevent color changes: It resists the photo-degradation of the polish's polymers when exposed to sunlight, which prevents the base coat and the polish applied over it from discoloring or yellowing over time. Also Maintain product integrity: It helps maintain the overall stability of the formula while it is still in the bottle, ensuring the product stays fresh and effective on the shelf. Lastly it Allows for clear packaging: By acting as a UV blocker, it enables manufacturers to use clear glass bottles for packaging. This one is the crazy part as a base coat doesn't need to ne seen. Perhaps companies who want to be non-toxic should invest in uv treated glass to protect us from yet more chemicals. Another Base coat that isn't for me! Maybe one day I will find something non-irritating. Guess it time to shop other places besides Amzon. Alo it didn't help my ridges much even with 2 thin coats! This insane itching is awful. Never again.
