Koss 155954 VC20 Volume Control, Standard Packaging

Purchased this so I could control the volume of my PC speakers which I am using for my Xbox, this cable allows me to adjust the volume as the controls on my actual speakers are only compatible with Windows

I hate all my overly sensitive digital devices with their volume controls. You have to be looking at them and gauge how much is over or under what you want and seldom get it right first time. With a wheel that rotates you can stop at the level you want and all without looking. Koss have been making professional headphones for decades (I have three pairs) so their knowledge of what is required for listening satisfaction is incomparable, as is their quality.. An easy simple option to modern over-complication.

My headphones are too loud on Aircraft, this device allows me to turn down the volume and stop the drivers getting damaged.

Been looking for a in-line volume control for some time so whenI found one by Koss I expected a good product. Well I was disappionted. The max volume is about 25% of the PC volume, had to have the PC vol @ 100% to get any decent volume @ all. But the reason I returnedthis itme was that after a while the volume became pretty much inaudible, pulling the headphones plug from the socket and re-inserting it fixed it but a shorg while later it wouls happen again. This happened with several different headphones. Very unimpressed.

I have a very nice set of stereo headphones which, for reasons I cannot understand, does not include an in-line volume control. I purchased the Koss VC20 to insert in the playback circuit when I needed an in-line volume control. The device works perfectly, just as it is supposed to. The only minor drawback is that the notched wheel with which you change the volume setting is rather small and quite sensitive - only a potential disadvantage for folks with large fingers. Overall, I'm totally satisfied with this product.

These are shockingly expensive given what's inside -- I've had one open in order to repair it when the cable failed where it enters the case. The cable is perhaps a bit better than a 99p one would be and the case is okay ... though getting it open was a bit of a nightmare, these things are clearly designed to be thrown away instead of being fixed.
