RRS Style and shape, I dont think they make them anymore
I've tried a few grips but this one is perfect for me. It extends the grip seamlessly, some other grips bulge out and aren't as comfortable. It is the right price. Battery door works flawlessly and allows for my peak design nubbies to attatch to the bottom without obstructing the integrated mounting plate. Also the magnetized allen key is clutch. I had to replace the included key with one from peak design because the metal was soft. For me nbd. If this still exists pick it up. no ragrats

Grip needs one adjustment.
Grip extension is almost perfect. Must be able to switch batteries without removing extension. Looks like there is opportunity to redesign slightly.

Great quality!
A7iii - works great and keeps my hand cooler on hot shooting days. Love how sturdy it is and easily connected battery door to it. I wish it would seal up the bottom Of the camera like The batter door does but unfortunately it doesnโt.

More useful than the Sony branded "pinky extender"
I wish I had purchased this before the $130 Sony "pinky extender". This is far more useful because it fits on my carbon fiber tripod precisely and you don't have to loosen it and swing it out of the way to access the battery like the Sony branded one. The allen wrench is magnetically held in place so if you don't sling it around it's always to hand. Or if you find it is too weak a magnet you can always put the wrench in your camera bag. Also...it was easy to move the battery door to the hand grip (A7RIII). Just take your time and voila...done without damage.

Works
Feels good in the hand no rubber on the front. there is a gap on the battery door at the back of the hinge so it is not water proof. I have my camera sitting upright so dust will not be a concern. $$$ cheaper than the rest I looked at but all of them are over priced. It will work for me. If the seal on the battery door was tight 5 stars

decent build, a little loose
the metal of the grip feels nice, however after a couple of dozen times loosening and re-tightening, the provided Allen wrench got stripped pretty quickly, and I replaced it with one I already had that conveniently fit the slot on the grip. It was also ever so slightly loose to the body, most of the times that I was taking it on and off was to try and resolve this as I figured it just wasn't on tight enough. the looseness was ultra slight and unnoticeable with lighter lenses, but with heavier ones it would pull on your hand more and shift the grip back and forth as you adjusted your hands. this looseness also pulled off a very small amount of the finish on the bottom of the camera where it fit on, not much of an issue for me personally but it might be for some. Overall I ended up returning it because it's not evenly flat on the bottom, I knew that going in obviously but didn't think I would mind, but I did; if you want something that lies flat on the bottom, smallrig and ReallyRightStuff have ones like that, they're just a bit pricey.

Convenient and comfortable, but adds noticeable weight
This grip is fantastic for getting a more comfortable grip on the camera if you have larger hands, and as an always-accessible quick release plate. I feel like it makes a significant difference in my comfort using the camera when I'm using larger and heavier lenses, where the better grip makes a difference. On the other hand, the weight addition is noticeable, so for lightweight lenses and run-and-gun photography it may be a detriment instead. The magnet holding the allen key in place is pretty weak, so it might fall off in a camera bag. I leave it off and use the key attached to my tripod if I feel the need to take it off before a photography outing. Remember to take the battery door off of your camera and attach it to the grip while it's attached, and vice versa when you remove it. You don't want to have to take off the grip every time you need to swap batteries, no do you want to use your camera without a battery door providing weather resistance.
