This thing is a beast!
What can I say about this printer other than it is a beast! If you take care of this thing and treat it well, it will treat you well! I have used several of these for our Photo Booth business and they are a workhorse. I have very minimal issues with them. When we do have an issue, it is always user error like when someone forgets to empty out the cut bin. These printers do a great job on speed and getting the photos printed quickly while guest are waiting. For the price these printers are a great value and can easily be paid off after a couple of Photo Booth events. The picture quality is great when using the genuine DNP media, highly recommend this printer for its size speed and value!

A perfect little printer
I needed a 4x6 printer because my $125,000 Noritsu printer isn't being supported anymore. I am closing my shop after 39 years, but still had some work to finish and this printer filled the gap perfectly. A bit noisy but produced beautiful prints from the first roll of paper! No problems so far after running 1600 prints. I wish the price per print was lower (I was used to prints from a high end Noritsu costing only a few cents per print) But realize there is a lot of technology in the media and paper without the hassle of temperature/chemical problems. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for an easy operating printer.

Printer is LOUD with ok prints
The printer came with a disc to download software but none of my computers have a cd drive so that was useless. I went on the DNP website to download but the original DNP instructions were Horrific as it kept prompting me to download a driver software SERVICE that I didn't need. From reviews, the printer sounded amazing, I'm not impressed. The media is easy to load, however, the printer is VERY LOUD and because of the way the media is positioned in the printer (loosely laying in the printer carriage instead of being secured tightly), it sounds like it will malfunction every time it prints. Prints are ok quality but nothing special. Have only used it twice so hopefully it gets better. I chose this printer for its size as most photobooth DNP printers are tall and bulky. It is a nice size and I found a solid travel case with wheels for travel from a different company that works well.

Not as reliable as its predecessor but still pretty good
i own 6 of these printers and have replaced 6 DNP DS40 printers. We do abuse the printer quite a bit as they are part of a Photobooth rental business and we transport them in our vans without additional protection. the previous model, DS40, was so robust, that we had almost no printer failures over tens of thousands of printed photos on each printer. a few even where dropped from significant heights, deforming the enclosure but almost never breaking the printer. after about 8 years of constant use and abuse, mostly those with bent enclosures started to show significant impacts on print quality (layer alignment was off etc.) that we decided to replace all of them with DS620 (they have different media kits and we did not want to stock 2 different media kits). unfortunately, the DS620, while still pretty decent, don't seem to be able to take as much abuse as the DS40 anymore. After only about 2 fail on initializing the printer after a paper change and won't print anymore, and 2 more fail the same way but only a few times after inserting new paper. They also cause "paper jams" every now and then during an evening long photo booth session and therefore cause interrupts, which the DS40's never did. since our phtoobooths are unattended, that's an issue. not sure if we should bother to have the two completely broken ones repaired now or if we should switch to another printer alltogether now.

No longer supported. Don't waste your money
My issue is not so much with the printer itself. It's done a decent job for the last few years. However, the paper for this particular printer is made overseas and has been on back order for over 6 months. I have reached out to DNP directly multiple times and was informed that the paper for their other printers is made state-side, so I am welcome to purchase a second printer from them. What I don't understand is why they are not a) adjusting their stateside manufacturing to provide paper for all their printers and b) why they are not willing to loan alternative printers to paying customers until they can sort out the supply chain. This printer is not exactly a small investment, and the fact that the company simply refuses to address their issues has me thinking I'll just chalk it up to a large waste of money. And adjust my business model to no longer utilize this printer.

I can't find where I can get the warranty.
The product is broken. You said I should get the warranty on the manufacture's website, but I can't find where I can get the warranty. Please let me know the information. If no information is given, the review will change. Thank you,

Deceitful
Please save yourself some frustration and don't buy this printer if you want panoramic prints as they do not support this. I've tried for over a year to get them to support it and they won't. I bought this printer to sell panoramic photos as advertised but they won't support in or add to the driver so you can use it.
