But ... what "natural" flavors are used in this? Any pork?

There's nothing on the label indicating this product is 100% vegetarian, if that's what you're asking. On the the hand, there is also nothing listed in the ingredients that's specifically an animal sourced product. I use this in my salads and I prefer it's taste, texture, shelf-life, and convenience to actual bacon pieces. If you're a "health-nut" or a "holy-devout spiritualist", I'm not sure why you would be eating this anyway, but I prefer these to real bacon for my salads and this particular brand of bacon-bits is better than most others I have tried.

I am confused. I called McCormick a while back and their phone representative told me these were not vegan.

Our Imitation Bacon Bits contain no MSG and are made from soy flour, making them a welcome addition to vegetarian and vegan dishes. ~ Erica

These are the classic Bac'n Pieces Bits, even if they are artificially flavored.

I live on these. I've gone through two bottles already. They are great on salads.On problem is McCormick is like all companies. They will make changes whenever they please. In this case it was the lid of the jar. When I realized they went from a lid you could flip open to one you had to unscrew, I saved the flip open lid, and changed them out.Remember this product is "Bacon Flavored". But I love them.

Yummm!

I don't know what's going on with my local store, but I can't find these anymore so off to search here and poof! A week later they sit on my sideboard. Don't panic, I live in the boonies,so nothing shows up overnight from anywhere. Perfect little tastes of bacon for a salad or even scrambled eggs.
