What can I say, I'm in love with this comb; it's the Mercedes of hair tools. When it arrived and I pulled it out of the packaging, I was so amazed by the quality and the finish. It is like holding a piece of amber in your hands. It is beautiful and completely smooth with no edges. I bought this comb because I wanted a comb that would have no sharp edges that can damage the hair while combing it (especially when it's wet, because hair is most delicate when it's wet), and this comb is perfect. It was a bit pricey, and I was on the fence about spending so much money on a comb, but combing your hair can literally strip the cuticle off your hair if you use the wrong kind and use it the wrong way. This comb is everything I was expecting and more. It truly is like a piece of art, but more importantly, it will greatly help you reduce the damage to your hair and to me, it's worth it.

This is a great comb... it's expensive but well worth it. The teeth are smooth and don't catch in my fine hair. I did finally break one of the teeth after perhaps 15 years of using my comb. While it's absolutely still usable I'm happily replacing it with this same comb.

I have Afro-textured hair and I was on the hunt for a comb with wider, larger teeth so that it can detangle my hair without damaging it in the process and I found it in this comb! It's just the right size for a comb, is excellent quality, and rinsing hair products from the teeth is a breeze as well. If your hair is thick and/or has a tight curl pattern to it, then you should strongly consider this comb!

I bought this comb after reading about it in a men's grooming blog post. The blogger said he had his for 15 years. I wanted something that was better quality than the cheap drug store black combs, so I decided to get this comb. Being a rake comb, it does comb your hair a little bit differently, although Mason Pearson does sell a fine-tooth comb Mason Pearson Styling Comb . A lot of women use it for detangling, but I use it like a normal comb. I can feel the quality with this comb, and I do expect to keep this for many years to come. Because of the wider gap between teeth, the grooves left in my hair when coming aren't as fine, which I like. The only downside is that it is harder to get a clean part on the side when I comb my hair over. The comb itself is also larger than most styling combs, so it's easier to hold. The gaps make it easier to clean when there's a build-up of hair product.

I bought three of these combs for Christmas present and one for myself. After my comb started loosing teeth, I asked the recipients how their combs were holding up and every one of them has teeth missing on their combs. The picture shows what happened when I packed my comb (that already had about 3 or 4 teeth missing) in a zippered pouch in a suitcase. I can’t imagine why it lost an addition 6 teeth (nothing else was damaged) but I wanted to post the picture as a warning. I did purchase a new MP comb and also replaced MP combs for my gift recipients. I went with the “detangler” model this time. I hope they last longer. Disappointed because they’re supposed to be high quality.
