For me, this belt is perfect. - Amended review
Additional comments - some people said this belt would only last a year or two. I use mine every day, and it's now well over 4 years old. I think this is a very good belt and I am hard on my clothing, etc. It still looks almost new to me after all this time.Amended review: After having the belt for probably three weeks, I had to go to the 5th hole, from the 3rd hole. The belt still looks and feels great, but it's like it got longer. I assume the leather stretched, most likely because part of that time, I was on vacation, walked many miles with the hot sun, accruing lots of perspiration and likely that caused it to stretch. I think new leather will do that. It's still a 5 star belt as far as I am concerned.Original review:I read all the reviews for this belt, and some folks said that the quality was poor and to only expect 1 - 3 years from the product. While that might be true for those that might wear this belt 7x a week, for me, I don't care, as I don't expect to use it more than about 2x a week, and then for only a few hours. So wear possible issues are not a concern for me.As for size, I was worried that it might not fit correctly as way too often I have gotten products ordered over the web where the size is not well measured. For example underwear that is 2x in size, but fits for me like 3x, but when I buy similar products that say 2x from various stores, they all pretty much fit like 2x. Similarly, I have ordered 3x and had it fit like 2x. It seems that mail order products are not very consistent. In this case, I ordered the maximum length, 54", and I'm more like 54.5", so I was worried, "what it it's too small?" As it turns out, the 54" was PERFECT. I'm at the middle hole of the set of 5 holes. Exactly where I wanted it.As for appearance, the belt looks quite nice to me. I like the satin finish, and the general design of the belt. So, bottom line for me, it's a 5 star product.

Carhartt Belt
It’s a very nice belt! Great quality as expected from Carhartt! I would suggest ordering a size bigger than needed. Other than that, I have zero complaints! If you are looking for a nice, durable and comfortable belt, this is definitely a great choice!

Fits nicely, good high quality leather
I'm in the process of losing weight and my Carhartt big and tall version of this belt (48" waist) was getting way too much extra belt hanging off the end. I'd had to add 3 holes of my own. This one is the 44" version. I'm currently wearing 46" pants but I could probably move down to 44" now and this belt fits at the 3rd hole very nicely. My previous Carhartt belt mentioned above had a few minor problems that this one doesn't have. The buckle end of the belt folds back on itself and is held in place by two poppers, on my older belt those poppers were super loose and barely held together, that made it impossible to keep the belt loop thingy in between those and I just had to let it slide free instead otherwise it would make them pop free which would in theory allow the buckle to come off if enough strain was put on the belt. The new belt doesn't have this problem and the snaps seem nice and strong. The other issue with my older belt was that the belt loop is held together on the back side by 2 metal staple-like things on the inside. On my old belt one of these staples was far enough off center that it wasn't connecting the two ends of the loop which made it weaker, I had to add my own staple to keep it in place. The new belt has both staples properly in place so again, it's not a problem.I don't know if the small issues with my previous belt were indicative of the general quality of these belts or not? Despite those small problems it did serve me well for a number of years and would still be doing so if it still fit. I even considered just trimming the end off the belt and continuing to use it but I figured why not get a new one since it was only around $20.This new one is still a little creaky and squeaky but I think that's normal for new heavy leather products and I'm sure it will break in and loosen up in a few weeks. Overall I love it!

Solid choice for the price
It's tough to find a decent leather belt these days! Especially if you're looking to keep it under $30 (so maybe it's my own fault for being cheap). After finally wearing out my old Cabela's strap belt, I picked up a Levi's belt in a store for $25. The bonded leather started coming unglued in mere weeks. Should've realized by the plasticy feel that the "leather" would warp terribly under the pressure of belt loops (God forbid I'd need to bend over while wearing a belt!) and the buckle. Definitely a poor choice if you plan to do more than simply stand upright all day, hardly moving. It'd been a while since I picked up a belt, and I was in a hurry, so I paid for my inattention. I was back to belt shopping in no time. This Journeyman's belt, while not spectacular, has so far been a solid purchase. Perhaps being burned by that bonded belt has made me more favorable, but I appreciate the solid construction of this Carhartt product. The leather is stiff, and not of the best quality (the description claims full grain, but I was skeptical at this price), but it's done its job well so far. Looks good with both jeans and the khakis I wear to my office job. I've seen reviewers criticize the buckle, and I agree it is a somewhat cheap little piece of hardware (again, you get what you pay for); however the belt is designed with snaps to make it easy to swap out buckles. Haven't done so myself, but I like that the option's there as I still have old, worn out belts with buckles I like a good deal better.
