Audio-Technica AT8435 Lavalier Microphone Clip, Plastic

This clip fits the  Audio-Technica System 9 ATW-901/L Wireless Lavalier System  microphone perfectly.I finally realized after losing two of these to make a loop with the mic wire and catch the loop inside the clip (tuck the wire in the bend - away from the teeth) then put the mic in the holder.Also when the clip is new it is very stiff. Before you use it during a show, open and close the jaws at least 20-30 times. When you are trying to swap mics between performers - and the next performer being called - you don't want those alligator teeth difficult to get open!Last: always have 2-3 spare clips. Nothing renders a $300 microphone system useless faster than losing the little $5.99 clip that holds the mic in place. I've resorted to taping the mic to people's chest with first aid tape, trying to put it on their clothes with a safety pin or a binder clip -- or using a clip that fits another lavalier system: none good solutions. I normally have to use clips that don't swivel, so I end up having to clip it awkwardly on their shirt (which looks odd, and that's not helpful for filming someone). Now, with these, I can clip the microphone vertically, or swap it to the other side. SO HELPFUL. Thank you.

The entire reason to have a clip-on mic is to get good sound. The draw back is you can usually see it. The Audio-Technica mic comes with a larger clip (for some dumb reason), but this one is the same plastic mic clip with a small metal clip. It's actually much smaller than what comes with the mic, which is probably on purpose to make you purchase something more. But, if you are serious about how it looks on camera, but this clip and use the larger included clip as your backup.

This device dd just what I needed. However, I also purchased the Audio-Technica AT8442 and like it better. The design of this clip is a little funky because the mic just sits on the clip rather than being held securely in place.

I'm using this to replace the clip that came with the Audio-Technica ATR-3350. The tie clip is shorter than the original but the mic retaining clip is the same size so overall it's actually better/easier to hide. No complaints about its functionality.

The part that holds the mic is cheap plastic and broke the first time I went to use it. Sadlr probably not even returnable, threw it away.

This clip is nice but slip off often and breaks reals easily. I'm on my third one
