Bloch Dance Women's Neo-Flex Leather and Neoprene Slip On Split Sole Jazz Shoe

Spent a lot of time reading reviews, looking at Bloch sizing charts online, etc. in an effort to order the correct size. My 14-year-old daughter normally wears shoe size 7 to 7-1/2. I ordered her size 9 in this dance shoe and it's just right, with a tiny bit of room to grow. I'm sharing this in the hopes that it will help others figure out what size to order.

Sizing is kind of a nightmare for dance shoes -- we went through 3 pairs of shoes before we got it right. My daughter wears a 3.5-4 "big kid" shoe, and she wound up in a size 6 for this style. But, sizing aside, they are wonderful shoes and she's been very happy with them. Comfortable and flexible enough that she even wears them around the house just because she likes the way they feel on her feet. They look stylish too. As part of trying different sizes we ordered a similar pair from Danzcue, and the Bloch pairs seemed to be slightly more flexible and slightly better leather, and we preferred having the elastic on the side rather the top. So, if you can get the size worked out (and really, when in doubt, order up!!!), the Bloch brand and this particular style can't be beat.

We buy a lot of dance shoes. Usually, you have to go up a size or two in this type of jazz slipper and want it to fit like a glove, as the leather will stretch once worn. We went up one size based on the description and other reviews saying they ran small, as most do. But they ended up being 2 to 2.5 sizes too big. So based on the fit, we should have ordered her normal street shoe size like we do for most tap shoes. Luckily, we could easily return these. Comparing the quality of this shoe to those of the local dance store which has their own version of this shoe, for the same price, the Bloch shoe is not as nice in quality of leather nor construction of the sole...We have gotten almost 2 years out of the dance store ones which are still in great condition being used several times a week, but they are now too small. Unfortunately, the dance store version changed a bit and now sit higher on the front of the foot, which my daughter didn’t like as much so we tried these. We ended up just stretching the old ones out and got almost another year from them. This Bloch one looks like they would be comfortable for her as they sit lower on the front top of her foot. But since these Bloch ones couldn’t be worn and fully evaluated, and trying to get the right size is a hassle, I gave them 3 stars. So back to the local dance store we go in hopes that they have went back to their older design...

This was our first time using amazon wardrobe, and I will definitely do so again! We ordered these in 3 sizes, and simply sent back the ones that didn't fit. Once we knew the size I checked out on Amazon and they charged me only for the ones I wanted to keep. SO EASY!As for the shoes, they were a purchase for my daughter who was in winter guard at school. They ran a little small for her (she usually wears a size 9, but we ended up going a half size up, purchasing the 9.5's for a perfect fit).All in all, perfect experience from start to finish. Highly recommend both the shoes, as well as amazon wardrobe!

I'm part of my local community theater and I bought these jazz shoes for a production I'm in. My shoe size is 8.5, but I had to return the first pair I got and move up to a size 9, which fit like a glove. I loved how they felt, but I ordered them on October 15th and less than a month later the toes are wearing thin and I have actual holes in the sides of one shoe, with another starting on the other shoe. Mind you, I've been using these for several hours a night, five nights a week, but for $40, I thought they'd last longer than they have. Can't really afford to buy a new pair already, so I'm probably just going to try to repair the ones I have. Very disappointing.

My daughter is an advanced dancer she really puts a lot of wear and tear on her dance shoes. These Bloch woman neo flex slip on jazz shoes last her around ten months, with many dance competitions and dancing all year. Shoes have lasted her longer then a year, unless of course her foot grows! This was my first time buying a dance product from Amazon. It was faster delivery, no problems, and shoes fit perfectly. I was amazed on the time that the product was received, Only took two day to deliver! With a Amazon Prime account, flat two day free shipping on most items are available. I will be ordering our dance shoes thru Amazon in the future and from now on! This is not a bias review, It is an honest review from my experience of purchasing these Bloch Women's Neo Flex Slip on Jazz shoe's many times from different sellers.

These feel like a dream. I admit I did not buy them for dance classes but for a formal wedding I am going to in Mexico in a couple of weeks. Tuxedos for the men and long dresses for the women. Shoes are a huge dilemma since a)I cannot wear any shoe that presses on the outsides of my big toes, and b) I want to dance so can't have heels as we will be in the courtyard of an old hacienda. So I will wear these and hope not to look too weird. The leather is soft enough, I don't think my toes will turn red and rise a big nasty lump. They will be terrific for dancing, being jazz shoes, after all!

So we received the 9N and it was also TOO Small!!!! Does Bloch think that narrow feet are also short??! Completely ridiculous that the sizing is this different. Feel badly for Amazon, not their fault, but they are losing money on shipping back and forth!These are fine jazz shoes, but my daughter who normally wears, AND measures a size 7.5N tried these on in an 8N and they were too small... so small in fact, we are going to buy a 9N... Is it really that hard to make shoes in one standard sizing???? Would save everyone time and money! I do appreciate the fact that Bloch makes narrow sizes though!

Tried twice to get the size we needed and both times had to return because they were too small. Quality and style were what we were looking for, but they could not get the size right. I even contacted amazon to discuss the sizes. Was told what to order and they still came in too small. So it was disappointing

Disappointed in these shoes. Size chart says they fit 1 size larger than street shoes, but I had to send them back and get 2 sizes larger and probably could have even went 3 up!! Hard to buy when the size charts aren’t even correct. Shipping was fast as always, and customer service was amazing to deal with which made it ok!

This is the second one I purchased. The sizes are so off! My daughter has the size 5.5 previously for over a year. I’ve bought 6.5 and now this 7.5 to replace her out grown 5.5. Waiting now on the size 8. Very annoying, are these original Bloch! Should of went back to the dance store to purchase.

This is my daughters first year of dance and she loves these shoes. Fit just right and exactly as shown. Super easy transaction.

My 7 year old daughter is happy with them,but they seem stiff. Ordered 3 sizes bigger than her shoe size and it seems right.She wears kids size 1 shoe, and I ordered these in size 4.
