I dig it - still like it months later
So I decided to grow my hair out and I'm at that lovely not-quite-long-enough for a ponytail but too long for letting it hang down in my face stage. I picked up this headband in the hopes that it would be more secure as I played sports, was active in the yard etc. It does hold my hair back and looks pretty good while it does so. I have moderately curly hair (big loose curls) and this pulls the front back securely enough that it goes straight without being so tight that it rips hairs out of my scalp or anything. You can bend the hairband out so that it doesn't grip the sides of your head so tightly - I had to do this, and I usually wear a large size hat. In fact the look with the headband on is so good I have been wearing it to work (business casual) and have gotten compliments. You can see the "wavy" part in my hair right after I put it on, sort of a cool effect, but after an hour or so my hair pulls up a little and the headband sort of just disappears.I am glad that I ordered two.Update Jan, 2014I am back to order a couple more after leaving one on the bin at airport security. I really like these bands!- Yes the black paint eventually wears thin/off where the band sits on your head. It does not flake, does not catch hair, just wears off. No one sees this but me so, I don't care really.- If you buy this band, don't forget to bend it to shape to your head. I am amazed to read that people never realize that since it is metal you can reshape it. This point alone makes me prefer metal to plastic or wood.- If you travel, take one in your luggage so you have a backup.- I can see where people with really thin hair would not enjoy this band. I have a lot of very thick hair and the waves of the band are awesome at dealing with the bulk without putting extra pressure on my skull.

Good headband but be careful!
It's good.... But be careful. I ordered two of these just in case I lost or misplaced one. One of them was fine while the other had a problem with it. These head bands are metal so at the very end of each side is where the metal had been cut and bent back. Unfortunaly one of my headbands had a piece sticking out and it hadn't been bent back. I didn't think much of it till one day I went to scratch my head and yup blood came gushing out everywhere. That one bit of metal sticking out sliced my knuckle pretty bad. Took about a week and a half to heal. So, just to let you buyers know. Be careful and if you recieve a head band with a piece of metal sticking out just use some pliers and bend it in. That metal is sharp! I attached a photo of the metal that stuck me for those of you that are curious what I'm talking about.A review about the headband itself. I like them ( other than the fact stated above ). The positive: They are metal so you can bend them to fit your head. They don't break. If it falls out of your hair they make a ting noise when they hit the ground and you'll know you dropped it.The negative: after awhile they began to rust. The paint on them does began to chip off. So you'll notice little pieces of black flakes on your hands or bed or whatever they come in contact with.Overall I'm satisfied with the product. I'd buy them again.

Worth the price
Pros: Super Cheap, looks pretty good, adjustable, and doesn't hurt at all even when wearing for extended time or actively moving. I exercise with this and have worn it for a complete day.Cons: Super Cheap - paint peels off relatively fast (about 1-2 weeks). Caution is advised when wearing it. Some others talked about how the band cut them and I can see why. If the ends were not properly folded it can either leave exposed cut metal out in the open or if folded too tightly, sharpen the folded point to dig into skin.Overall, if you're careful and examine it and adjust it to fit you and not harm you, for less than $2, it's pretty worth it. Treat it properly, and the paint should stay on for a month or so, even with the paint gone, it's probably not that bad looking, who pays attention to how a hairband looks anyways?

Adjustable and comfotable!
These are nice because they can be bent and shaped to fit any size head. I bought them for my son to keep his hair out of his eyes when playing soccer and they worked, but he decided to go with elastic bands because he didn't want to have the metal out on the field while he was playing. He gave them to his little sister and she loves them. They are easy to adjust to a little smaller size to fit her, and she likes the pattern they make in her hair and that they stay put. The shipping was a little long, but for the price I definitely can't complain!

Very good hair band!
I had my doubts when I ordered this. From the photo, I couldn't tell if this would work on my thick hair. I am very happy to announce that this band is terrific! In fact, it's so good, I ordered three more to have handy at home and work. These are inexpensive and don't arrive very quickly, but it's worth the wait. I have the kind of thick hair that never behaves with plastic hair bands; the plastic ones actually break in two. This is one of my prouder purchases. UPDATE: I received the additional hair bands and all arrived in excellent shape. I am still VERY happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone. Just remember, this product doesn't reach you within a few days. Be patient.

Sturdy but a little tight
I wanted this kind of hair band to give that wavy look i like the most.It worked in that perspective, however it gives me headache if i wear it for more than 4 hours, so after 1 hour rest period, i wear it again. So far, i'm happy with this purchase, its sturdy, gives the desired look , only glitch is little too tight on head, else i would recommend it to my friends.

Keeps my flow out of my face
In one of those bad hair phases where it's too short to keep back but long enough to get in my face. This holds it back nicely unlike the stretchable headbands. Those slip off often and it gets frustrating redoing my hair every 20 minutes. The only negative to this is that I can only wear it for a couple hours at a time because it starts to hurt my head. Maybe I just have a big head

Good headband for guys, but paint will chip
It is a good metal headband. Bend it how you like to fit comfortably, I am a guy and it fits great after adjusting a bit. Paint looked good quality at first, but it started chipping after only a few wears. Got a big issue for me, but it will happen
