How does this brand compare to other brands of Vitex? I've been taking Vitex for years at a less expensive but higher dose.

I have only ever tried this type. I was having horrible cycle issues. I started this at half the recommended ded dose and it immediately made noticable changes in the first cycle, so I stuck with it. I was told by homeopathic doctor to refrain from taking 1st 5 days of cycle.

Does this version of Chaste Tree contain corn? I cannot have corn and don't see anything on the bottle listing it as corn-free.

Chaste tree extract is derived from Vitex agnus-castus fruit. Ascorbyl palmitate is derived from corn dextrose fermentation and palm oil. Hypo-allergenic plant fiber is derived from pine cellulose. The corn dextrose fermentation process starts with isolating dextrose (a sugar, so it does not contain allergenic corn protein) from the corn, then feeding it to microorganisms. The nutrients produced by the microorganisms are then isolated and purified away from the starting materials. While no corn proteins or sugar remain in the final product (and they have tested with negative results), they do not routinely test for corn allergens, and therefore cannot guarantee its safety for someone with a corn allergy.

I really do not know for sure, I no longer take this supplement, but as far as I have always seen with all of their products, they all are free of additives, which I believe would include gluten. I also avoid gluten and do not remember any bad reaction from the product.
