Great look, great quality, great durability
I purchased this futon my freshman year of university and I could not be more happier with it. I am currently starting a full time job 15 hours away and decided to re-purchase a second one because it was perfect in every way. In the time span between the purchase and the current day I have already set up and taken down this futon 12 times. I have lived in 7 different apartments/dorm rooms and this futon folds up incredibly nicely and still looks as nice as the day I received it! It comes with six supports on the bottom and only requires 2 Allen wrenches to completely assemble. One problem I have had is the pouch underneath where the Allen wrenches were stored is very flimsy and ripped the first time I tried to move it. However this is all internal damage and cannot be seen on the outside. I have slept on it and had friends sleep on it countless times and while the ridge in the middle is very uncomfortable if you are at a certain position I have had no issues when sleeping on my back or stomach. All in all this is a fantastic buy and I strongly recommend!

Would Recommend for Specific Uses (See Review)
I think this futon for the price is worth it so far. I would say it is likely a good choice fitting a specific type of usage. If you need something that will rarely be used, in a guest room or spare room, then this seems like a good fit. It checks all the right boxes for something like this; its cheap, relatively nice, practical. If the intention is to have a main couch or to use for sleeping on a regular basis you may want to look at something a little more expensive. Pros: -Affordable -Looks nice -Easy to Assemble (came with everything you need) -Easy to go from couch to bed and back Cons: -You get what you pay for. Im not confident that under constant use it would last. Also not sure it could support 2-3 adults sitting on it. -I can see it being uncomfortable as a bed (ill expand on this later) -Mine smelled a bit, kind of earthy, I had to spray it down with febreeze... Observations that may be pro/con depending on personal preference: -Very firm -Relatively light -I wouldn't call this linen. That to me implies a soft, cotton kind of material. This is more like canvas, ruff and "hard". Probably durable, not my idea of comfortable. As to the point of it being uncomfortable, if you look at the default image, above the pillow in the middle is a seem. I dont think its an accident they placed the pillows to attempt to cover that up (or the flower that happens to cover it too). When converted to a "bed", that seems runs across the middle, so no matter where you lay, this will be across the middle of your body. Another way of putting this is you have a seem going down the middle of it both horizontally and vertically. In other words there is no place to lay on this that you will not have a seem that you lay across. I would also say that the size is unlikely to allow 2 average size adults to sleep on it together without being too close to each other. I also doubt it could support the weight. All of this may sound very negative, but if your intent is to rarely have someone sleep on it I think for the price its a good deal. It doesn't look as cheap as it is but it does have its flaws when you dont consider how inexpensive it is.

REALLY great value, looks great
This couch is exactly as promised. I think it's important to be realistic - this is an upgrade option to a standard futon, not to be compared to an expensive daily use couch from a furniture store. I purchased the grey linen futon as well as the chaise chair addition. For the price of this futon, I'm honestly floored by the quality. It's sturdy, firm (which is good because often futons will start to sag with use), and the fabric looks much more expensive than it is. It looks great - looks very close to what you see in the pictures for purchase. We are using it in a home office bedroom as seating and an extra place for guests to sleep. I did not have the negative experiences others mentioned - the construction is inexpensive but sturdy, all parts attached securely, the back pieces lined up, and the fabric was completely undamaged. Again, I'm not expecting this futon that I got for less than $200 to handle daily use as a family or living room couch; I'm just expecting it to be used lightly as extra seating in our home office extra bedroom.

Good budget choice, but you get what you pay for...
It's hard to beat this Convertible Futon for the price, but if you want something long term I'm not sure if I can recommend this product. We purchased it for our apartment 4 months ago and if you are tight on money it is a really good choice although there are a few setbacks. PROS: The price, it really is the biggest advantage of this product. The aesthetic design is quite good, definitely a lot better the options you find at Walmart or others cheap furniture places. Assembly is also quite straight forward: you unfold it, screw the feet, flip it, and you're done. The height is also pretty good and gives a cozier feeling to your place. CONS: Now we do have a few complaints about it. First, the build quality is good, but not perfect (you're getting what you paid for). It doesn't feel like it can accommodate 3 people, and seat has sunk a bit. One of the stitches that gives its tufting pattern has unraveled and now the seat is flat on one side. Also although you can use it without having a back wall supporting it, it feels very flimsy, making noises as you lean your back on it and might not withstand heavy people. It also has stained the back wall where we set it. I think the fabric has shed some ink on the wall as it rubbed on it. This was quite disappointing since our apartment is rented and we'll have to repaint the wall. The comfort level has also decreased since we bought it. At first the seat was quite comfortable, but 4 months later you can feel the springs depending on where you sit (mind you we're fairly light, I weigh 155 lb (70kg) and my wife about 110 lb (50 kg)). I don't know if I would have purchased this product if I had know that the comfort level would degrade after only 4 months. TL;DR: If you are really tight on money and just need something to sit on in your living room this may be a good choice. If you want something for the long run I suggest spending a little more and getting something more sturdy that will guarantee comfort for a long time.

Comfortable and Stylish.
We’ve been very happen with this Futon and the matching Chaise Lounge. The grey linen is very stylish and this piece looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture than it is. There is a small tab underneath that locks it to the lounger which holds it snugly enough that it looks and feels like one piece. We have not tried sleeping on it, but it is very comfortable for sitting. The back angle is adjustable and the futon is remarkably supportive for a dual purpose piece. I am 6’ 4” tall and I don’t think it would be long enough for me to sleep on, but when attached to the matching Chaise it is more than long enough. If you are under 6’ you may be able to comfortable sleeping on just the futon. Assembly was very easy. The legs come stowed in a small pouch underneath the lounger and quickly attach with the provided Allen wrench. It took me no more than ten minutes to assemble both the futon and the lounger. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a large and unwieldy box, if you are not comfortable moving large awkward boxes alone it might be best to have a friend around to help unpack.

CIA Torture Device
"Okay, that title is a bit* of an exaggeration" you're thinking... and maybe it is, but I can't in good conscience allow these things to be sold without other consumers at least being informed of what they are getting. I dont generally write reviews... Im just too lazy. I love talking, and I love explaining things, but Im too lazy to be motivated to actually type something online about it. That has changed. After owning this thing for about a week or two, I have been slowly pushed to the point of insanity. Let's get to the review, shall we? Easy to assemble? Sure! It takes only a handful of screws (which they provide) and an allen wrench (provided) to follow the simple instructions to get this thing operational. It's small, lightweight, and easily converts between couch and bed mode. The couch is even kind of comfortable! But the bed... For whatever godforsaken reason which I will never understand, they put the metal part for the "hinge" component very close to the surface of the cushion. In layman's terms, it means you will feel metal rods poking you when you lay down, which also have the dual purpose of altering the shape of the bed so that the middle is more elevated than the sides, giving you the constant sensation that you will fall off, while also making it incredibly easy for your pillows to slide off the top. Granted, the pillow issue can be fixed with a headboard, or by putting the futon against a wall... But I am forced to wonder if this was specifically designed with the intention of causing pain and discomfort. I've had springs poke me in the sides, and it sucks, but even they are way more tolerable than this thing. It hurts my spine, my ribs, and my stomach, depending on what position I am sleeping in. Do yourself a favor and go with literally any other brand of manufacturer, because this thing is downright painful.

Great value, good quality
I couldn't be happier with this futon. I was expecting lower quality based on the price, but was pleasantly surprised. The fabric is of good quality and looks and feels great. The cushion is much thicker than I expected and is quite comfortable when used as a sofa. I haven't yet tried it as a bed. The legs are sturdy and look nice and it feels really stable when assembled. It's simple to go from sofa to bed. It couldn't have been easier to assemble. Basically all I had to do was screw on the legs and it was ready to go. The one drawback for those who intend to use it as a bed, it won't work for a tall person. I'm 5'7" and have only a couple of inches to spare when laying down on it. Despite that, I would highly recommend this futon. It's fantastic quality for the price. Extra bonus-it was delivered 3 days earlier than expected.

Not for frequent use
I've owned this futon for coming up on 4 years. I was really excited when I first got it, it looked really expensive and very chic. I work from home and sat on it every day while I worked. I also bought the matching chaise lounge, so I would move around on the whole unit throughout the day. Within about 6 months, I noticed the springs in one part of the futon kind of collapsed. They just sunk in and didn't spring back up. This wasn't a spot where I spent a lot of time, I'd sit there every so often but not frequently. Then the fabric around that spot started to tear. 4 years in and this thing looks like a wreck. That spring area has gotten worse and worse. I keep a blanket on that side to cover it because it looks so bad. Seams have ripped all over the place. It's so lumpy and uncomfortable now I never use it. If you plan on getting it as more of a decorative piece or spare seating that won't be used often, I'd say this is a good purchase, but it's not a piece of furniture you'll use for very long.

Doral Home Products

Exactly what I wanted
I was hesitant to order at first, as I wasn’t sure what the quality/comfort would be, and if the box would be too big to have at the place I was sharing with my ex before I moved. Well the box was smaller than expected as the futon has a centre hinge in addition to the reclining hinges, and the feet and parts are stashed in a hidden hole underneath. It wasn’t too heavy for a couple of able bodied people to manoeuvre, just a bit cumbersome. I had it set up within 5-10 minutes as the instructions were straightforward and had very few steps. The seat back positions took a few tries to work out the trick but I have it where I want now (recline positon is ideal for relaxing, gaming and… romance). The comfort is as I wanted. Sure I may like things hard, but anyone who complains it is too hard and hurts their back clearly needs to go see a chiropractor. Reclined position is like being held in a gentle giant’s palm. The seat depth is also just what I wanted. You don’t feel the middle seam unlike some reviews are saying, as the futon is still firm enough that you don’t sink in excessively. I had a friend over for relaxing with pizza and video games and he said it was a decent futon too.

Not comfortable
I wouldn't buy this, many nooks and crannies for bugs to get in. Very uncomfortable.

Absolutely best futon on the market for the price!
We have owned two futons before this one and this is by far the most comfortable, easy to set up and assemble.
