Dorman 905-300 Spindle Stub Shaft Compatible with Select Ford Models

I just installed this spindle on a 2003 Ford Focus ZX3 and it is a perfect fit on the original drum brakes. From the Dorman site this part is compatible with Ford Focus models from 2000 to 2008. Good value compared to the original OEM part that costs 255$. The OD of the spindle is 29mm

I seen some people's negative reviews for these spindles and I have to say I had no problem with them...yes they are snug but they're supposed to be...ill say thanks for selling them at such a reasonable price!

Bought this to replace to replace bad spindle and to my surprise this looks and feels close the the OEM. It fitted right in the brake drum with original screws and there was also the space for the ABS sensor. I will recommend to anyone replacing Ford Focus MK1 rear spindle !N.B According to the size of your bearing you may need to shave off a little of the spindle and have it hydraulic pressed in the bearing.

Bought this item Hoping with no install problems. Wrong! I called Dorman Tech Support to let them know of this problem, and he wanted me to measure the shaft with a caliper! I asked him don't you have Quality Control in making and checking these before they go out? He had no answer! Took this shaft to a local auto store to try it on one of their drums with a bearing installed, No fit as well. They ordered me another spindle shaft (auto parts store) got it the next day, it Fit! But same brand, Dorman. Dorman tech told me they were having issues since 2014 and these being at stores and Amazon stocked possibly since 2014 because there were some Oversized ones, like mine. Newer stock does not have this problem which is the one I got at a local store here. Why didn't Dorman recall this stored stock from Amazon? Beware buyers on this item here. Sending it back.

Does the job. Fit perfectly. Old hardware works. Great replacement.

This was a perfect replacement for my cars rear spindles. There is no need to waste time cleaning up old spindles when you can use new clean ones to ensure the job is done right. This was a good value for a product that worked the first time out. I used a torque wrench to remove the old bolts and to install the new ones so it was solid when I installed the bearing assembly.

Lots of reviews said these didn't fit but mine matched up perfectly with duralast drums from autozone. I applied a light layer of grease and ensured the brake pads were adjusted properly and the drums went on. It is a tight fit so it took a little patience but wiggling the drums around set them in nicely.
