We had a problem with our teenager trying to sneak out of his window. Needed a lock that involved a key so it could not be unscrewed by the teenager. Easy to install. Had to drill a small hole due to not matching up with previous holes.

My toddler learned to open his bedroom window latches. These keep the window closed. They also withstand him testing them like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park tested fences. For perspective he ripped apart an ac unit at 18 months, and ripped the heat register out of the wall at 2. His pastime is trying to rip apart the freezers at the local Aldi and Walmart. Kid is strong and these hold.

These were a complete match replacement on my windows. My only gripe is that they seem to be a little flimsy and could be forced and this would break them. But as long as you’re not trying to pry on them they last a long time.

Great product. Easy to install, only wish that there was 1 key that would open up the locks. Reasonable price.Product need for special needs child who escapes and can run into road.

My 19 year old is severely autistic and an escape artist lol. We live up stairs. He figured out how to open the Windows. Talk about scary. So glad he didn’t fall out that window. I had baby gates and another kind of locking mechanism and he got through those. I ordered these and two days later they were here. I live in the country and normally we don’t get things that fast in the mail! All I had to do was unscrew the old locks and install these the holes matched up perfectly. Talk about a life saver because for those two days I didn’t sleep just in case he open a window again. Now I just carry the window keys and door lock keys around my neck. Only thing I will note: I wish that when you buy a set all the keys went to every window lock, instead each window has its own individual key!!! I had to color code them in case of emergency!!!

I ordered 2- one arrived in good condition and works fine. Maybe not the strongest option, but worked for my purposes. The second came damaged and appeared to have a key that was broken off in the lock mechanism rendering it completely useless. Good price and value I'd say for the one that works, but quality control isn't great...

These window locks are very easy to install. I was able to install them both before leaving for work one morning. The keys are actually cut to the locks which is also nice, some other brand I bought had keys but the key from two different sets opened either lock.

No, they don't come keyed alike when you order multiples. I ordered 40 to get 6 keyed alike and returned the rest. There is a 3-digit code on the keys. That is the cylinder code. So, #203's all share the same key. I believe they run from 200-210. I did not want to have multiple keys to open windows some day. Some day we hope we won't need these. Our vinyl windows have 2 sash locks per window so we just replaced one with one of these locks so our son can't open the windows (and leave them open when it's freezing out).
