LXB404 LED Upgrade Module, 360 Lumens for 3-6 C/D Cell Maglite Torches

To avoid buying a new MagLight, just change the bulb. It works great and I’d say the light is day and night difference. It’s very bright, and it’s a pure white light, not yellow.

I have a an old four cell traditional Maglite which is no longer manufactured but it was a gift to myself and I just did not want to toss it aside. Nothing was wrong with it but the old fragile filament bulb was dim compared to the modern LED(1) Maglites. Let me tell you first that I DID TRY other LED upgrades for this torch and all were a disappointment. Either they were not bright enough or the beam pattern was distorted. However, this new 360 lumen LED lamp for the 3 to 6 cell Maglite is just FANTASTIC. Energy efficient, bright white, LED light bulb, designed to produce a powerful focused beam, it will not disappoint you at all. Since it is an LED bulb it will very likely last longer that YOU or I will. The LED assembly has it's own built in voltage regulator circuitry so you get constant light for as long as your batteries last. What I mean by this is the lamp output never gets "dim" as it keeps going and going until the batteries are finally exhausted. It also comes with a new metal threaded mounting ring in case your old one is lost. This is the LED upgrade lamp I have been looking for. My expensive traditional Maglite is all NEW once again.

Did not fit in my three cell mag light. it was too big around to go into the existing bulb holder. Returned. This is my Mag light, have had it for 20 years. was hoping for an upgrade but will continue on with the old tried and true. *Update 12/3/19 Was contacted by the seller through Amazon. They explained that a few items had "slipped through that were out of spec and would send me a replacement. It arrived today and I was eager to see if it would fit. It did..alltho it is a REALLY tight fit with a bit of extra pushing I got it in,,,YEA.. Will have to figure out a way to get it out when the time comes, some prying might be in involved. It is bright and seems well made. It came with another lock ring to keep the bulb in place but I stayed with my original because of the knurling on it. (see photos). What I was really impressed with was the sellers customer support. It is the best customer support I have come across in quite a while (not including Amazon's) they have gone out of their way to fix the problem and come through with flying colors. They even included a phone number to contact them directly if I had any questions. well done.

Installs quick and easy into my 6 d cell maglight ! Its a way brighter light now! Pluss it will use less battery. It also came with a spare bulb nut ! Dont forget to buy two so u can put a second one in your battery cap compartment! I know it works for all available d cell mag light models.

My old 4D cell Maglite is reborn. Buying the 360 Lumens was really a no brainer. For one it was on sale. Two, it gives off plenty of light. This is just a good deal for an old outdated Maglite. Oh and the third, the batteries will go a bit farther with the slightly lower lumens. Get you one!

I dig it!!! A breath of fresh technology into an old school, incandescent bulb, Bad Ass flashlight. Old you ask? Let’s use the word, vintage. I don’t know how vintage but I’m thinking early 90’s? Let’s put it this way engraved on my flashlight is MAG-LITE MAG INSTRUMENT ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA, USA!!!! That, there says it all!! Ha!!!! I installed this LED bulb into a 3-D cell MagLite, which I have 3 of. I ordered 1 of these just to see if what I thought was true, was true and it was!!! The MagLite with the LED bulb was So bright side by side with one of my other MagLite’s still with the standard incandescent bulb in it and the LED bulb also had strong long distance beam projection. I was happy and sad all at the same time. Happy, my Vintage, Merican, Big, Beautiful, Bad Ass MagLite was now so bright but sad because, all of a sudden, I felt so old, Ha!!!!! Yes it was a tight fit, to get the new LED bulb in, but who dose not like a tight fit? Can I say that here? Ha!!! I’m going to buy 2 more for my other MagLite’s. DO IT!!!! DO IT!!!!

On my 3 cell MagLite the beam is bright but it has a huge dark spot in the beam center. See pic. I’d prefer the original bulb over this LED replacement. A real disappointment.
