Roget's Thesaurus of the Bible

This seller described this used Bible reference book as like new, barely used. The book is exactly as described. I looks like it's never been used. Also the book was delivered 1-3 days sooner than expected. I'm very pleased with this seller. (Added to above review.) This Bible thesaurus is the best type of concordance for finding those verses on subjects that you sort of know what you're looking, but not specifically. I have both the Strong's and Young's concordances. I rarely use them. I use Roget's constantly. I like it so much I now have three copies. I recommend it as an excellent study reference. I will say, though, that it is not designed like a regular thesaurus for synonyms. Once a person becomes familiar with how it works, it's simple to navigate. Matter of fact, I will be using it today in my Bible study.

This was one of the required books needed for the seminary, great read, could understand it, written plainly, great value as well. Will recommend it to all my classmates.

Would prefere the book to be in alphabetical order. Difficult to look up words

This to me is more of a chain reference book than a thesaurus. I was expecting to look up words and find the synonyms of those words. This was very annoying and disappointing. Also, the fact that it was not in alphabetical order was puzzling. I couldn't help but wonder, why, for what. I hate paying for material that promises to be helpful but only waste your time........ especially so called bible helps. I was really hoping to get joy out of this book.

This is a great tool to use in Bible Study Much thicker than I expected but I had to keep in mind it is dealing with scripture. Thanks for a great book.

I bought a copy of this years ago, once I saw the price of 37 cents. This is an amazing book will find a particular subject, a category list to relevant Bible passages. This book compiles the most popular English translations. This is a must for any serious Christians' Library.
