Helpful, good book
Book was well written with many helpful diagrams. I used this a lot in my language class. Book was brand new. Worth renting- some of the topics you learn are hard to comprehend but the book makes it easy.

Worthless... waste of money.
This subject is so boring and I don't know how or why anyone ever invested their time trying to complicate language. I can only hope that one day this info can be used for something more useful than teaching college students elementary school concepts....

Boring, boring and boring
This is the most boring book you will ever get your hands on.If you don't have to take this class I highly recommend that you don't.Trust me. Just pick something else instead.Also, ask for a syllabus beforehand and make sure instructor is not an arrogant jerk.
