I can apply watercolors directly over the ink without worrying about any smudging or fading of the lines. This ink is perfect for watercolor. The color is a dark grey or light black if you will. It flows well. It does not run at all once you let it dry for about 5 minutes.

Nice gray ink, a little darker than I would like but it's easy enough to dilute it to a lighter shade so not a big deal. Pretty water resistant, some light lifting but nothing too noticable besides maybe in lighter areas. My main complaint is there is quite a bit of separation with this ink so make sure to shake well before using including the pen you fill it with. Also the ink is a tad drier so keep in mind when picking what pen to use it in or make modifications to your pen if you want it to work better with drier inks (I only suggest this is your experienced or plan on modding a cheaper pen).

Couple weeks in with this and it's been a fun one to experiment with. Never used a sketching ink like this before and the way the values shift and vary as you work is really interesting — it adds a lot of character depending on your pen and how you're using it. The one thing to know: the pigment settles, so shake it well before refilling your pen. Skip that step and you'll notice it pretty quickly. Not a dealbreaker but worth keeping in mind, especially if you're used to more straightforward fountain pen inks.

Love this ink. I use it for writing and drawing. Some watercolor work with very little bleeding. Only when there is a heavy line that may not be completely dry. I will be using this ink again. Wish they carried more of the colors.

New to fountain pens, I needed waterproof ink for pen and watercolor wash. Dries quickly. The soft neutral gray color enhances line but doesn't overpower my work. Micro pigment particles look like muddy sludge in the bottle, so I shake it vigorously before loading the converter. Time will tell if the pen clogs, but I'm using a less expensive fountain pen just in case.

Meh. This was recommended as a great very black drawing ink for fountain pens. It's not "very black" and reads almost on the brown side along with being a bit translucent.

Wasserfeste Tinte zum Zeichnen mit Pinsel, Feder oder in einem Füller. Bei Füllern darauf achten, das er geeignet ist für wasserfeste Tinten da sonst Eintrocknungsgefahr besteht. Ich fülle die Tinte in Konverterfüller, das ist praktisch. Die Tinten lassen sich auch mit anderen desselben Herstellers misch, auch dafür ist ein Konverter im Füller gut. Die Flaschen halten je nach Häufigkeit der Nutzung recht lange. Echt gute Qualität!

Il colore che ho scelto assomiglia molto alla grafite. Mi piace usarlo in abbinamento con gli acquerelli, al posto del solito nero.

Deze inkt heeft de consistentie van Chinese inkt, dwz dik. Indien gebruikt in een vulpen zit deze snel vast. Dus enkel voor penseel. Wel waterbestendig.

Very nice deep dark grey ink! But don't forget it in your fountain pen unless you can take the pen completely apart to clean it thoroughly! Jinhao 992 is a cheap pen that writes well and can be taken completely apart to clean and, in worse case, to throw into the bin.
