A “Must Read” for Those Facing the Death of a Child…or ANY loved one
I lost my son on March17, 2022 to COVID pneumonia. He had Down Syndrome and autism, and had been the light of our lives. He had no symptoms so we were shocked and devastated…and terrified that we would never see him again, in spite of always having been Christians. Doubt and fear find easy prey in a grieving parent. This book, however, is a beautiful account of the comforting situations surrounding the deaths of children with various causes of death. The book is beautifully written and will be an enjoyable and inspiring read that will help your broken heart feel a bit less shattered.

Sweet Christian stories, just the right length
This book is numerous true stories of Christian people,( many children), that are so sweet and deepens love for Jesus. Just the right length for a story before bed. I will pass it on to my grandchildren.

each true story brings the reader insight into how God's unique intervention breaks the veil that separates those of us on earth
I don't often read a book that I can't put down - but this was one of them! Leanne Hadley takes the reader through her internship as a chaplain in a children's hospital while studying to become a minister. Each chapter is named after a child and each child's story deals with a life and death situation and ultimately how much God loves them. Indeed, each true story brings the reader insight into how God's unique intervention breaks the veil that separates those of us on earth to see - - even if just for a moment the great promise of heaven - - our eternal home. Touching Heaven is an appropriate title and I believe the Lord helped the author tell these compelling stories so that we as adults would realize that we, too, are children of God.

Heartbreaking, Heartwarming, Funny yet sad. So many emotions come with reading this book. The one we all have in common is death..... wether it’s a parent, spouse, child or our own. Better to understand it then to fear it because we certainly can’t outrun it.

Touching Heaven - touches your soul
When reading, "Touching Heaven" I thought to myself - "I took a Senior Capstone class called Death and Dying....I have read the Kubler Ross 'On Death and Dying' book, I also have read the book called 'Final Gifts' which is Hospice nurses sharing a collection of stories about their elderly patients as they faced death...there is no way that this book will profoundly affect me"....oh was I wrong. Leanne Hadley is able to catch the innocence of childhood in such a beautiful way. She has taken the children's stories and told them in a way that brings such beauty and dignity to the families that faced these tragedies. Thank you for sharing this collection with the world. I hope that others will take the time to read and pass this on not only to others that might be facing similar circumstances, but also to anyone that wants to catch a glimpse of what Heaven might be like for us, someday.

Soulful book for people who have lost their child.
This book is helping me heal . Thank you to the author for writing it. My 14 yo daughter passed away on July 13th 2017 she had autism and osteosarcoma , above the knee amputation . I miss her so greatly. I know she is in a better place ; however her absence is hard to bear. All the stories of these beautiful children she had in the book were amazing, I felt a closeness to them after experiencing all the pain and suffering my child went through. It gave me solace and a feeling of certainty that my daughter is in heaven doing all the things she enjoyed on earth.

Heaven
I gave this book a five star rating. It was very encouraging to me as I have lost my daughter in the early years. She was thirty and had been sick for a long time. She also became more spiritually before her death. She was very encouraging to everyone around her and those that loved her. She fought her disease just as these children did. This book encouraged and made me feel she was a blessing and helped me understand her death much better. The story of these children helped me return to my faith. God takes care of the children he loves so much. Recommend this book to everyone who have and will have these kinds of deaths. It will help your life and the death of children and adults whom you love and know. Wonderful book.

A comfort for those who have questions and grief.
I haven't yet finished this book. Each story is both sad and wonderful. I lost my husband seven years ago. He died quietly in his sleep. I have always been afraid of dying. Just like Leanne's mother. But, since I started reading this book I have found that I'm still afraid, but at peace with the idea. There is no other way to explain how this book has touched me. If you have lost someone or are afraid of dying I recommend that you read this book. It will make you cry, but at the same time you to may be able to find peace with death and dying. I gave it a four star rating because I don't like sad. In God we trust. Pat

Beautiful Book
I bought this book because it was on offer; I'm so glad I did. If you have an interest in hospital chaplaincy or the way children relate to God, I think you'll love it.

Touching stories
I loved reading Leanne's stories of hope, comfort and love surrounding the children she worked with at the time of their death. Her easy way of communicating made it a pleasant read, the stories injecting faith where there can be so many questions around death.
