Heavy Duty 10 Pattern Metal Garden Watering Nozzle - High Pressure Spray Gun - Pistol Grip Sprayer With Flow Control.

04 May 2016This review is for the Gardenite Garden Hose Nozzle. After years of frustration with the poor quality and short life of nozzles purchased at big box home improvement stores, I decided to look for something better on-line. I found this excellent product at amazon.com and ordered two units, sight unseen. I relied on the positive reviews posted at amazon. Upon opening the package and grasping the nozzle I could immediately feel the high quality of it. It feels quite comfortable to hold and its ruggedness is very evident. The ring that selects the spray patterns turns smoothly and the names of the patterns are legible white lettering on a black background. As stated, the nozzle is mostly metal. The red baked enamel is a welcome change and makes it stand out when lying in a field of green grass.Other reviewers have praised this nozzle for its non-leaking water tightness. Indeed when I connected it to my garden hose, there was not a drop of water coming from the connection at the hose. This is saying something because with other inferior nozzles I’ve purchased, I’ve always had to replace the cheap looking black plastic washers with higher quality washers that I keep on hand. Not so with these nozzles—the supplied washers work just fine. The flow control setting knob (which is brass) doesn’t offer much range of flow, but that’s OK because the trigger also controls the flow rate. Squeezed all the way back it yields full water pressure, squeezing less gives a varying range, all the way down to a trickle. Some prospective buyers may balk at the relatively high price of $25, but the old rule “You Get What You Pay For” definitely applies here. Buy cheap and all you get is a piece of junk, most likely manufactured in China. These Gardenite nozzles are made in Taiwan (“Free China”). Can’t remember the last time I bought an item made there. All in all I love this nozzle and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a high quality, versatile garden hose nozzle. I may return to this review at the end of the season to report how well it holds up. This just may be the last nozzle I will need to buy for a long time.

I am an avid gardener, and for years I had been using a pistol-grip nozzle from a famous manufacturer of quality gardening products. Of course, nothing lasts forever, and the day finally arrived when my nozzle had to be replaced. The exact same model of my durable, reliable nozzle had been discontinued, and so I looked for something else with comparable quality, finally settling on the Equinox nozzle. It wasn't an easy decision. This is an expensive piece of gardening equipment. However, a hose nozzle is something I use every day for the garden, for washing the car, for bathing my dog, and for various other uses. Although I have only had this nozzle for a few days, it appears that my splurge on quality was a good judgment.First, this nozzle is heavy duty! Its metal construction makes it seem likely to last at least as long as my old nozzle, which had several years of constant use. Second, this nozzle is easy to use with the trigger in front of the handle. Third, the water pressure adjustment is convenient. With my old nozzle, I had to walk back to the faucet to lower or raise the water pressure. With this heavy-duty new nozzle, an adjustment on the handle of the nozzle takes care of that. Do I need less pressure for a fine mist to water a new seedbed? Easy! The adjustment is right there. Do I need more pressure to water a hanging basket? Another quick and easy adjustment. The patterns normally found in a pistol-grip nozzle are all there with the added benefit of variable water pressure. A pattern that is new to me, though, is QUINCUNX. I used this to wash the dirt off some root vegetables that had little hair roots and crevices harboring dirt. Every gardener knows that getting the dirt out of these little places can be achallenge. This pattern, however, powered every trace of dirt out of those little trouble spots. To sum up, I am pleased with my purchase of this hose nozzle. It's expensive, but I'm glad I made the investment in quality.

I ordered one of these for the backyard and liked it a lot. My wife does too and just had me order another one for the front hose. I've never used a better one, so I guess you can order one too and it should make you happy.Well, it's been a month or so since I got the Spray Nozzle and I thought I ought to upgrade the review to explain if I am still happy with it. I know it seems weird, but it all goes back to the maid we had. I don't know why we needed a maid, but my mother-in-law had one so I guess my wife felt she needed one. I love my wife so I went along with it. The maid my wife found was mean and nasty and broke things. You couldn't say "good morning" to her without getting into an argument and she wouldn't take direction regarding her work. She just showed up once a week and did whatever she wanted and then got mad from time to time. Did I say she broke things? Where ever she came from they didn't know anything about the industrial revolution so she had no mechanical aptitude. A list of broken things would include the washing machine, the dryer, the dishwasher, the refrigerator door, and the kitchen faucet. The final straw came when I tried to tell her to stop the water flow on the nozzle before she rotated the spray head, according to the directions. She went through the roof and started screaming at me. I told her to get her stuff together and get out and don't come back. You know that Christmas story about the man and his wife who lived in the cottage and there wasn't much room? They went to the wise man and he told them to bring the cow inside to live with them. Then they went back to the wise man several times to complain and wound up bringing the horse, five goats, three sheep, six ducks and ten chickens inside. Eventually the wise man told them to take the farm animals back outside and they were very happy with their roomy house.I got a mathematical equation I came up with: One Nasty Maid = One Cow + One Horse + Five Goats + Three Sheep + Six Ducks + Ten Chickens. Am I happy with this Spray Nozzle? You just bet I am.

I like this garden hose nozzle a lot, however I could only rate it 4 out of 5 stars because in most of the nozzle's spray selections it leaks a significant amount of water onto your hand. (See video/pictures) I liked everything else about it, the quality, color, and feel. It is a nice heavy metal with a black rubber hand grip and a metal piece to lock the sprayer in place so your hand won't cramp when you're using the nozzle for an extended period of time...for example filling a baby pool or watering lots of flowers. The spray setting options are very clearly labeled so you won't need your glasses to read them, like with most other garden hose nozzles lol. The amount of spray setting options you can choose from far exceeds any nozzle I previously owned, which is a big plus for me! The little one has so much fun playing with the hose in the summer so the more settings the longer the entertainment for him lol. Despite the leaking issue (just below the sprayer head) I do like still like the product alot!

I bought this over a month ago and wanted to put it to the test before writing a review on this product, and it's now truly been put to the test. This garden Nozzle is probably the best one I've purchased in a long time, all metal, no cheap parts and it's well worth the cost of it. The quality of this nozzle is amazing. No leaks, great adjustments (more than any other nozzle I've purchase in the past). I've watered trees, delicate budding garden planters, cleaned off the patios, washed the cars, lightly misted down windows for cleaning, refreshed my tall outside walls after a long dirty winter. All of this has been flawless, with no unwanted drips or clogs, and best of all... I've accidentally dropped it twice on my brick patio and there was no damage to the quality of the water output and continues to work perfectly. I think my favorite part about this sprayer is all the settings it has.I've owned so many different garden nozzles that to find one that lives up to the task is great and now that I've been using it quite a bit, I'm sure this is a keeper and will last a long time. One thing that I would suggest is that if you use well water and it's a bit on the hard side, remove it from the hose and rinse it off with non well water. In another month or so I will be adding more of these bright red (easy to find) garden hose nozzles, replacing all the leakers that just get me wet and don't do a good job.

Great craftsmanship. Great customer service follow up. I've gone through countless garden nozzles over the years, with my last nozzle being a Gilmour Multi-Spray Pistol Grip Hose I purchases at Rural King. It lasted only 1 year! When I purchased it in Spring of 2015, I was looking for a metal nozzle that would last and offer multiple spray options. Beginning last fall, the nozzle began leaking around the spray nozzle selector. The leak began as a small mist but eventually increased to the point where more water was hitting me than the object I intended to spray. So, back to the drawing board I went this year. I had 3 criteria for my new nozzle search: 1)All metal construction 2) Made in USA 3) Product backed by excellent customer service. From all the information I found, this hose nozzle used to be made in the USA but is now made in China. :( What isn't anymore??? 80 percent of the nozzle is constructed of metal with rubber hand grip and rubber/plastic spray nozzle adjuster. It appeared that the company addressed the negative reviews regarding the construction of the plastic trigger handle with cheap alloy pin and in-fact, the company has addressed this issue. the nozzle I received has a steel trigger handle with a stainless steel pin. This nozzle has more spray pattern options than any other nozzle I've owned previously. With subtle differences between each spray pattern, I find all of them to be useful. I used the nozzle this past weekend to clean catfish and then to spray of the deck. I used all spray patterns and everything works great.Time will tell and if anything goes wrong, I'll be back to report it. Until then, I believe anyone who is looking for a quality garden hose nozzle will like this one.

This is THE BEST garden hose nozzle I've ever had! It is just great in many ways. The construction seems to be exceptionally sturdy. The body is made of some type metal, or a combination of metals. I'm not into that sort of thing so I know only it is heavy - unlike previous plastic nozzles I've bought. The markings for various settings are clear and easy to read - even for an 81-year-old lady. And, unlike any nozzle I've had or still have, when the setting says "JET" - it definitely means 'JET"! The stream is small, almost tiny but boy is it ever powerful. Today it blew leaves from about 40 feet away! And it did so with ease. I am amazed and ever so pleased with this nozzle. I typing this and thinking - how perfectly silly to be gushing over a hose nozzle! But . . . it makes any hose oriented gardening work I must do ever so much easier.I am in love with my nozzle and am going to purchase two additional ones. Oh my! Loving something as banal as a garden hose nozzle - I don't care if I sound silly going on and on about my stupendous nozzle, but . . . it really is!Buy one would be my suggestion, if you need or just don't much care for the one you have. Or buy one because it is such a great item to have - someday someone MAY ask you to do something involving a hose - and every hose needs something on the business-end of that hose - THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT!. I bet you will 'love' it., also!

I'm not an Amazon power reviewer. But have purchased dozens of items each year, only writing to warn you about this product.I purchased this on April 21 2018, seeking to purchase a quality sprayer nozzle that would last several season. Was pleased with how it worked after purchase, study metal construction. Stored in my garage before winter. Fast forward one year later: living in the Northeast I went to hook up my garden hoses. Attached this, turned the water on. Completely defective - water spurted out of the handles at multiple points, making it useless.Same experience as Christine VL: Lasted 1 season. Now the water is squirting out both sides where the red strips are. I was hoping by spending more money, I would get a better product. Definitely not the case. Back to my search for a quality hose nozzle. So frustrated. And Bryan Lorden: This garden nozzle worked great at first but the second summer I found that the whole thing cracked internally and now sprays a jet of water out of the handle. Great product if you only plan on using the sprayer for 1 year or less. And Diana Rhodes: This garden nozzle worked great at first but the second summer I found that the whole thing cracked internally and now sprays a jet of water out of the handle. Great product if you only plan on using the sprayer for 1 year or less. And on, and on. I do not care to exchange it. I've already ordered a competitor's product at $10. Do not think you might buy up in quality with this model, it is not true.

My nozzle lasted less than a year. Canadian seller only has 30-day return policy. U.S. manufacturer doesn't sell in Canada, therefore won't ship a replacement directly to Canada. Lesson learned is to understand your seller's and manufacturer's return policies. I'm chalking this up to a bad investment.

Fabulous - great quality, heavy duty garden hose nozzle and great value for money.

Strong metal construction with a grip catch is great for those who get sore hands from watering. There is a wide range of Spray patterns which, in combination with the flow control dial, enables appropriate watering for all watering needs including delicate plants up to jet spraying surfaces.

Fit for purpose. Marginally better than what you can buy in hardware store.Would be better if it was entirely metal. No leaking so far

High Quality Item! Great value.
