Nice to have dry, warm muck boots!
I was pleased with this product. What kept me from giving it all 5 stars is that it has loosened the top rack and slipped forward, toppling the 2 pair of boots to the floor. Not a big deal, I will just have my son tighten it up, he has better hand strength than I do.We live on a small farm with horses and hens and dogs. We are outside every single day at least 3 times in all weather. It is such a wonder to have dry, warm boots to put on, it makes the chore of going out in the elements that much more comfortable instead of sticking my foot into what previously was a cold, damp Muck boot (we wear the high, black actual Muck boots by name). It is slightly disgusting to have the bottoms of those boots exposed and having to look at what is stuck to their bottoms (I will leave that to your own imaginations). I do wish I could have found a boot warmer/dryer that was more of a mat/rug to alleviate that issue but could not find such a thing. Forget the ones you set on a floor register, we can't afford to turn on the heat enough to warm them, much less get them dry!I would recommend these, my only real complaint is I wish the actual rack where you stick the boot were made higher. My tall Mucks fall over, but my son has shorter ones and his fit fine. I also stick my house slippers back on the warmer while I"m out, then I have warm slippers waiting for me when I come back in. It's the little things in my day that make it happy.

Pays for Itself in the not so Long Run
I did specifically request the earlier white version of this item by email to the seller. Received the grey with no response from the seller (that I found) regarding my request. But the grey work fine, as do the two white versions I bought years ago. Wonderful item, well designed and executed. Arrived early and superbly packaged. Really love this shoe dryer. Works great. Lasts a long time. Silent operation. Seems like a luxury. But once you own one, it becomes an item you don't want to be without. And my hiking shoes last much much longer when cared for in this manner. Leather stays supple and inner shoe remains odor free. Truly, your shoes last longer. I live in Oregon. My hiking shoes are wet from November thru March. Item pays for itself in the not so long run. I preferred the earlier white color, as I keep my out in view for easy access. Received two grey instead. I removed the logo stickers with the help of Goo Gone. Looks nicer. Now I am keeping my slippers on these as well. Warm slippers. Warm feet.

Just BUY IT!
Bought this thing for my yearly ski trip and aside from my lift tickets, it was the best thing I bought!Pros:It drys boots, gloves, hats, and does it quick. I know quick can be a relative term so let me elaborate. I was able to dry several pairs of boots and gloves a night by switching them every couple hours. I would dry my lady's boots and my boots, then her family's, then our gloves. After the gloves were dry I would put mine and my girlfriend's boots back on the Thermanator to make them nice and toasty for the next morning. Thermanator uses convection heat instead of forced air. This means you dont get that nasty locker room smell from it working. A wall mount and feet are included for your mounting choices.Cons:Actually the only con that I can think of is that the tool they give you to install the legs or wall mount makes assembly a slow process. This would have been easily remedied if I would have access to a ratchet set.Summary:I read the reviews on here about it not working for wet boots and all I can say is that it is not my experience. I absolutely love this item and at the time of this review it is 35 dollars and Prime eligible. Jump on it.

Worst paint over metal, ever! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE~~!
Well, the thing works. It is perfect for indoor use (why waste power by puting it in a cold garage) -- it dryed my gloves and boot liners after a full day of teaching in the snow. Now, for the down side. The paint on the thing was terrible. There were pools of paint like using a spray can and letting it drip. Some areas had such poor coverage that it began to rust the very next day! There was even dirt under the clear sticker. I like the idea but the manufacturing is some of the worst I have seen. Do they even have quality control there, or what?I contacted the company to see if they can offer any relief... with a new one of higher quality. I sure hope so.Follow up:I emailed the company with photo's and the next day someone called me to apologize and send me a new one. The new one is great. It looks like an entirely different unit. I am left wondering if the one Amazon shipped was very very old or maybe even a gray market fake? Either way, the company rocks! Strongly recommend!

A quality product that can be used year-round
This drying rack is a nice thing to have. It keeps our shoes and boots warm and dry. Even in dry weather, it's nice to store shoes you wear a lot on this rack. It drives out the perspiration of daily wear. We keep it on all the time.Pros: Sturdy, industrial feel. This is not made out of curtain-rod gauge tubular steel, this is thick. Safe. Does not get very hot, no danger of fire or damage to shoes. Low power usage. Wall mountable. I think the best option, takes up less space and no worries of tip-over. Long holding racks. About 10 inches long, easily holding long rubber boots. No noise. No moving parts to break down. No locker-room smell. Can be used with gloves and hats.Cons: Takes a long time to dry out very wet items, especially if it is in a cold room. This could be a problem if you are in a hurry. Only four racks, one unit might not be enough for a family because it can take a long time to dry. You need to make it a habit to put another pair on rack when you take a pair off so it will always be drying.

Works good and silent
We bought this and it was a bit larger than expected but OK. I guess we should have looked at the dimensions to avoid the surprise . It did work well with my sons gloves and boots. We don't know where he finds the foot deep puddles on the way to school but he has been finding them for years and really good at it (smile). My wife did peel the cheesy orange sticker from the unit and it was not difficult.
